Rescued Baby Black Bear Slowly Falls In Love With His New Friend Little But Fierce
video description
The easiest way to tell is the hump, or lack there of. Brown bears have a large hump on the back of their neck and black bears dont. Their faces are a different shape as well, brown bears having a prominent forehead ridge. Black bears have a smoother, less angled head.

Ah I didn't know bears were born so small and cute. Thanks for posting. Curious how old they were when released Also curious if it's possible to tame bears or for humans to be around a trained bear like at a zoo like I've seen with tigers for a tiger show. I'm thinking no, but curious if humans raised the bear.

Oh my Lord they got so big! I am so happy to see them both released together, it would be hard to be alone (just one) all on their own. This way they don't have to feel they face the world without another familiar animal: . I do hope they do well!

This was one of the best rescue and release videos. Just watching these two naturally run, climb, and swim was so heartwarming. I wish them both well and hope they both grow up and live long, happy lives.

It's BS releasing young Bears into the wilderness in the Fall. They still need to forage and find a shelter. By doing this, you have greatly reduced their chances for survival.

So you're sure that that was not a death sentence for those two You know that they can survive on their own in the wild Bears are primarily omnivores. What did you feed them

The imagery of a pet you raised up from a baby and all the memories you had, looking over its shoulder at you before disappearing into the wilderness forever, gets me choked up: (

In wild bears, only 25% of cubs reach reproductive age. . In other words, their natural infant mortality rate is 75%.
Any interference with this is unecologic. .

Probably just get a Xmas card every couple of years, with a few scribbled lines - that’s the younger generation for you no gratitude

So perfect. So beautiful. I am so sorry that mom was distressed. I hope that she found safety once again.

The cub looked so much like an otter at first. I actually thought he was an otter in the thumbnail pic LOL.

Excellent job raising them in a way that they weren’t too bonded to people, so they could be released.

Nice, but I wonder if it was really safe to let them loose when they've been around humans so long.
