Perhaps the cockatoo belongs in Australia with his family Why didn't you import a Taipan or a funnel web for your boy Think it through. I have families of cockatoos and galahs where I live, and they live free as they need to. Some poor bugger gets shipped off to the USA as a pet and you think it is cute You want to hear them in the wild, free, in their family units. No way in hell you would treat them like a toy after that.

That was absolutely beautiful. It was amazing to see how you oh so gradually got both your precious babies living, growing and loving each other. Yes cockatoos are for a lifetime and more, and how you by your own example taught your little baby how to treat and love your cockatoo with love, respect and consideration took away my breath.

I once saw a woman with a cockatoo on her shoulder out walking and a large hawk swooped down and carried the Cockatoo away never to be seen again. Please be careful if you are the parent of a bird and DO NOT TAKE THEM OUTDOORS!

I know these birds have a powerful bite and cockatoos, epically, are known for not only just biting but not letting go anytime soon. Hope the mom knows how to read the bird and never let this happen.
