Grumpy Street Cat LOVES Being A Grandpa To Foster Kittens - GRANDPA MASON WOW Grandpa Mason I love you so much, what wonderful and divine precious baby kitty Mason. I almost in tears watching him, what has been through, and his senior years where he finally experienced unconditional love and affection, nurturing, care, warmth and protection and could enjoy and play and guide these two gorgeous little kitties. Grandpa baby kitty Mason, you bright my day, expended my heart and soul, so rest in peace in heaven my dear kitty Mason, with The loving God, comforted and with your guardian angels and peacefulness, light, warmth and joy

My friend and I rescued a 5 year old and named him Grandpaw. He was a feral community cat and then became a friendly cat. When we found out he had FiV i brought him in bc he didn't need to be outside. But then I trapped and fixed 3 kittens and fostered them until 2 of them found their furever homes. But during that time, Grandpa's name was so appropriate. Bc he loved and adored the kittens. One of the kittens, Cap'n is still with us and loves his Grandpaw. No worries about giving any of them FiV bc we are careful and he is gentle. Loving love all around

I know that Grandpa Mason is gone now, but it's amazing what having a PURPOSE can do! Though the timeline is a bit unclear, he lived 32 or 36 months from what I can cather; considering his initial prognosis was 4 months of life left, that means he OUTLIVED his initial prognosis by a factor of 8 or 9! Again, it's amazing what having a purpose can do for ones life.

how sweet! he reminds me of my cat, plus he looks alot like him. my other cat had kittens to him 3 months ago and i was a little scared he might hurt the kittens, but he turned out to be a great father and im so proud of him for that. he'd groom them, sleep and cuddle with them, and he loved to play with them and you could tell he just absolutely adored them.

I took in a two month old ginger kitten that was living in a heated shed I built for strays. He has that dreaded FelineA virus and came close to dying a few times. However he usually bounces back with help from antibiotics and immune system boosters. We still have him seven years later. I think giving animals something to look forward to gives them strength.

I had a very special cat who, was a brown tabby, just like this one. His name was Doo-Dee. He was the only kitty we ever had that lived his entire life with us, and he passed away just shy of his 20th birthday, in 2004. He had a Garfield-look because he was part Persian, so he had puffy cheeks, and he also, had those great big hootie-owl eyes.

It’s very interesting to see this dynamic. Male cats don’t recognize their kittens, but Mason is very fatherly, or I guess grandfatherly.
Mason reminds me of my old cat, Sally. Same fur pattern, and she also lived a long life. I lost her in 2020, and she was around 22. Furever in our hearts.

Cats are breathtaking creatures capable of the most amazing feats. But like humans, they often don't get the chance to live up to their full potential. And it's not just cats. Who knows how many potential Einsteins, Pasteurs and Edisons are right now fighting for survival in the Slums of this world

I see he's already passed, but he got to live a happy life surrounded by love and affection in his later days. Not all cats get that. I just hope other people realize older cats can be a benefit to kittens and put them together and give other such cats a chance at later happiness.

We have a Feral Female Cat here in the Apt Complex that was here and fully grown when I moved in. In late 1993. 30 years old. she had the TNR program 20 years ago. She is doing just fine. Feral thou. we feed her but cannot get close or pet her.

On the eve of his last night Miss Shelly formally adopted Grandpa Mason. He stayed with Miss Shelly and his kittens for 1, 069 days. Far longer than the few months expected. And he left Auradorable-Auracuda in charge of kittens and hair styling.

Mason was with TK for 1069 glorious kitten-loving days. He spent his final hours snuggling with kittens. Though he's gone now, his beautiful legacy of purpose and love endures in the kittens he helped raise and the countless lives he touched.

I often come back to this story because its so heartwarming to see grand pa take on the role model for these kittens, RIP Grand pa Mason, you've made an impact on these kittens that you never had

Aww, I love Grandpa Mason. I once had a cat like him. He used to race up and down the garden with the neighbour’s kitten. I often saw them play fighting in a furry heap together.

I will always remember Grandpa Mason What a truly beautiful ending for that precious old guy. I’m so happy he knew what it was to love and be loved.

What a sweet grandpa this little goober is! Thank you so much for giving him a great home, love, food and friends! You're a wonderful fur-baby parent

This is the best one yet since it’s unheard of a MALE cat, let alone old, AND disciplined the kittens Grampa’ style like Secondhand Lions.

It seems like Grandpa is loving his new role of looking after the little pussycats! It seems like they're all benefitting from it!

I like to come back to this video every once in a while. Mason may be gone, but he definitely went out on the best possible terms.
reply

How absolutely wonderful and how uplifting. He was so good with the kittens - a pity that he's gone now. Bless you, Grandpa Mason.
reply

Thank you, fosters, for what you do. I get so instantly attached to animals, I couldn't bear to have one for such a short time.
reply

There are probably a lot of long-term stray or feral cats with a heart of gold if you can save them and get to know them.
reply

I didn't know that a male cat would move kittens by grabbing the scruff of the neck. It seems more a maternal instinct thing.
reply

Grandpa Mason may you be blessed your spirit lives eternally! Thank you for making all our lives richer.

grancat: i hate children!
woman: gave him kitten anyway
grancat: disgusting. do you have another

Grandpa lessons about how to be a cat should be the title of this cute video - so heartwarming!

He was an alpha male on the streets
Probably papa's a lot of litters before he got TNR'd

How many babies do you think he's fathered, he knows what he's doing around babies

He's such a grumpy sweetheart, I can't recall how many times I've watched this.

The music as usual was nauseatingly obnoxious. Ruined the video completely.
