I just don't understand how you could walk off and leave a dog that was a part of your life! You are disgusting and I hope you are held accountable for abandoning this angel! So wonderful to see she was quickly adopted by the friend of her rescuer! May they have many wonderful years of love and happiness together!

Cruel and lazy. If you can't take care of an animal you can always surrender it to a no-kill shelter where it will be taken care of and hopefully adopted. Leaving it behind to face starvation and neglect is just wrong! So happy Lucy's story got a happy ending, she looks like a sweetheart! :)

How do you just leave a dog behind like it's a bag of trash That says so much about the people who did it, and what it says about them is that they're disgusting human beings. I don't care what their circumstances were. Surely one of the two could have made arrangements for that sweet dog.

Sometimes I just hate people. That sweet dog had no idea why she was left and alone. Thank you to all that jumped in to save her and find her a home!
She sure looked happy having another dog around at her foster home. I hope her permanent home has a dog for her too.

Lucy looks a LOT like my Gypsy who died in 2023. I got her as a rescue at about eight weeks old and she died at 13. DNA testing showed she had a lot of bloodhound in her and the rest was a mix of about every type of Collie known to mankind.

Lucy is a beautiful, sweet girl and certainly didnt deserve to be abandoned. How anyone could leave a defenseless animal to fend for itself is a mystery. Bless her rescuer, her foster Mom and her new family! She deserves the best

The exes should have their dogs taken and given to fosters and adopted. They treat dogs as disposable there's no way they're treating the dogs they took with any compassion. They should be banned from taking in dogs again

i would never leave my pets behind. i'd rather sleep under a bridge. neither of those who left her behind cared for her in the first place. every animal deserves a loving home but not all humans deserve a pet.

I hope I never understand why and how someone would simply abandon a dog like this. I want to say that I hope they feel shame but I think they are not capable of it. I'm glad Lucy has a good home.

What's wrong with people
I had 2 dogs, ex wanted 1 for himself and as we broke up I took all 3 dogs with me.
They were bonded and couldn't be split so not even a thought about leaving one behind!

Beautiful Lucy. Eternal thanks to the rescuer & Lucy’s new family. Lucy will give and receive love for the rest of her life. Makes me feel sorry for the 2 dogs the previous owners took with them.

What a garbage couple! Thank goodness for good hearted people to rescue her. She is so much better off. I feel sorry for the two that the human trash took. They are not in good hands!
