I wish the UK's fostering system is as easy as the US's. I get that shelters have to do their due diligence in making sure the home is safe and OK but it seems that there are so many hoops to jump through here before you can foster a dog that people just end up giving up eg. the housing situation isn't great in the UK and hence not many people have gardens but that won't stop people from taking them out. I have owned dogs in the past but they want people that have experience in handling difficult dogs which I admitted that I haven't but why can't I try so it can be a learning process for me and the dog. I have recently lost my fur baby and have a loving house to give a dog and see myself foster failing but that's not going to happen because of all the bloody red tape.

When I see dogs that have such big fears and anxiety I generally have 1 of our dogs on me. My dogs run me and my house. I couldn’t imagine it any other way. Our animals are everything. Paydays the first stop is the pet store to get all their favs.
I wish I had a bigger house and time to foster bc even tho I know this is a huge commitment I know I wouldn’t give up.
Maybe this is what my life will look like in the future. I would love this opportunity

Most aren't a problem dog, they are scared, they don't understand why they are there. I also understand shelters are packed and they don't have time to make them comfortable or get use to humans again. I wish people would stop buying from breeders and give these animals a chance they will make you a great family member.

The fact that human mistreatment and neglect can so profoundly cripple a dog emotionally just shows how sensitive these creatures are and how dependent they are on human kindness for their well being. We should do more to be worthy of the loyal companionship they give us.

When we talk to animals, most of us reflexively go up an octave and suddenly we can no longer ENUNCIATE our words. It seems to ease their fears. Imagine the reaction we would get if we spoke the same way to people we just met!

That was the best approach to her tearing up the bedroom, just taking her time at her pace. I'm glad you fostered her. It just sucks that she was on the deaths door, but she did get saved, so thank you

I wish so much that I was in a situation where I could foster dogs. I have my two dogs and my HOA had to make an exception for me to have them. I need to move to a farm or something.

Can he please foster or adopt me I'm probably older than him, but the trees and creeks are where I belong. Not Ohio. I am so glad she found such a great place to open up and be herself.

There is just such a calmness with Lee asher. I can't see any dog not trusting him he's an amazing human. People could learn from him being so humble thanks again
