I don’t get the people who are criticizing what you are doing. Is it better to keep a dog in the shelter where it gets less human interaction You are making extra work for yourselves to make this dog’s life better.
We formerly did cat and dog rescue and have animals that were not adopted ( one due to medical reasons) or returned because the people moved out of the country.
We have one cat that is in a separate room because he doesn’t get along with others. We had 3 dogs but when the female died the two males didn’t get along anymore. Now we crate and rotate them. It takes work but all the animals get their share of attention and they are less stressed than if they were fighting with each other.
All of them have better lives than living in a shelter.

She'd be perfect for someone like me who's at Home 24/7 365 She would have a Backyard to run around in and Home Cooked meal once or twice a week and it looks like she is a Snacker and a Bed Hog which is what I would need in a Dog she sorta reminds me of my Dog that passed away 4 yrs ago in August and she was my 6th Pitbull and first female Pitbull and she was a Spoiler she had no issues whatsoever. This Dog is an Absolute Keeper and will make someone Very Happy to the one Lucky Enough to get Her.

We kept 3 littermates, and for a year, we had to keep the males separated bc they would fight. We set up the exact same scenario, except the female dog could be with either brother. Then, one day, one of us forgot to close the gate, and we caught the 2 brothers playing together. We kept waiting for the hammer to drop, expecting a fight would break out But they seemed to just respect each other, and it has never happened again 2 years later. You are guys awesome!

What you are doing for her is Wonderful! I used to actively rescue the dogs from two small pounds, taking out EVERYONE every week, before they went to a guy, who sold them for research, or they were euthanized (and cats, too, when they were in there, but very few were ever in there; our cats were mostly from feral cats, who had been dumped on our ranch, so I know the time and money it takes to do what you are doing for this dog, and others. Thank you!

I’m glad she’s currently being loved, and I hope she’s adopted by someone highly responsible and capable of handling her who will ensure she never hurts another’s dog. She wouldn’t be good to take on walks, so she needs a big backyard with a high, secure fence.
Most shelters are made up of pit bull mixes. Pit bulls are capable of great damage, and people need to take that seriously.
I hope this one finds a loving home.

I think your doing a great thing & going above & beyond in fostering Cartier. BUT, i also fostered a similar dog & was able to after 6 weeks of very challenging work was able to integrate them. after doing so was able to broaden her ability to get along with many other dogs, admittedly in a slow & controlled setting/way. IMO & from other trainers I've talked to there is no such thing as a 100% dog that cannot get along with other dogs.

Some people tell me that going home to my dogs rather than going out, spending July 4th with them, spending money to get their teeth cleaned periodically, etc, etc. is silly. After all, they are just animals, so what's the big deal. I do not understand such people, and in a way feel badly that they don't get to experience the unconditional love and companionship from pets.

She looks so much like our rescue! Her ears have their own unique character though! But our Violet is exactly the same in how cuddly she is and how she just wants to be glued to us all the time. Violet is also an only dog and we knew that when adopting her. She does ok when greeting other dogs on a walk but doesn’t share space well.

It's definitely the ears for me immediately I could just picture her as a puppy Hope she finds a home as soon as possible so she can finally be settled and feel safe. He's foster parents are doing an amazing job keeping everybody happy It's not easy for them but they're doing the best they can and she's happy.

Sad situation. Everyone doing their best, but very difficult. Dreadful seeing a dog who lived in a crate now closed into a room where he just waits at the door for his family. Some children also feel excluded in this way. Life is difficult for everyone - very little respite!

I had to separate my dog and new adopted pit
After extensive work with a trainer - they could never be together ever. My dog tried her best to be friends but. his past abuse and neglect just prevented it. He didn’t know how to dog. He was overly protective of me!

OMG I love her ears! I really hope that this sweet nugget of love finds
a loving family of her own soon. it's too bad that she doesn't get along
with other dogs. I wonder how she would do with cats she might get
along with another dog with a slow introduction.

I have been there when your resident pet doesn’t get along with the foster! It was five months of swapping rooms and love! It’s just me in my house. At least there’s two of you. But I was fostering a cat so they are def more low maintenance. Thanks for caring for her!

you make the dog get used to being with other dogs. propping up an unhealthy glass house of avoiding social bonding is a surefire way to create a scenario where bad things will eventually happen. this is a bad idea, they should put the dogs together, they will be fine

This isn’t helping the dog overcome the issues she has. Yes. I also had a foster like this, but separated them by a gate and took feeding tips from the experts to overcome their issues. Not faulting the fosters; just not the best situation for her.

working with a rescue and having known pities that can’t be with anything else I understand. It still might be better if this dog could be with a no dog family. But I appreciate the amount of effort you’re putting in taking care of this dog.

Never found a dog not capable of enjoying living in a pack. To me is more about people do not know to handle and making them understand their position in the pack.
Still an adorable effort from the fosters, tho. Hope they sort it out!

That’s a good family that surrenders an animal they can’t take care of. Brothers girlfriend does this to there 3 German shepherds and won’t surrender them. One bit my butt and I have 2 teeth mark lines on my leafy butt cheek

Why doesn't the Dodo reach out to Cesar Milan If you'd consider keeping Cartier, he could probably eliminate all the steps to keep them separate and make them a healthy pack. Plus, it'd make a really cool collaboration!

That not a leash its a Halter or body harness for walking dogs are brutal, they allow for the human to have little control, where the dogs has most of the control. There a bad system and i wish dog owners would realize this.
