I'm so glad this dog is doing much better and that human kindness isn't dead. If it hadn't been for this rescuer who had the heart to rescue Cindy and take her to the vet, and foster her and helped the dog with her weight loss journey, this dog could have died. I'm thinking Cindy was someone's dog at one time, and maybe the previous dog owner over fed Cindy and just let the dog's weight get out control and not do a thing about it. I'm thinking Cindy's previous owner just didn't wanna deal with Cindy anymore and abandoned the dog, as if the dog could take care of itself. Some humans don't deserve to be pet owners.

So many pet parents overfeed their animals because it makes them happy at that moment. But the long-term effect is poor health. As Cindy lost the weight, you could see how much more she enjoyed EVERY moment. Now her life can be, not only longer, but also better!

Ive never seen an overweight dog not even 1 pound! I can't figure out why and how she got like this Was she a new stray Was she ill Well i guess it's not important as long as she's happy and healthy and loved and it looks like shes got all 3 big time

that dog was dumped. no stray would get that heavy and if it wasnt able to walk at all, it wasnt just laying there getting fed by everyone passing by. you can see the callouses on the elbows too, she had been laying for a good portion of her life

Cindy is just beautiful and her tail was wagging from day oneeven though her walks were hardshe was happy to be loved and please someone. Such a beautiful thing you all did and I’m so thrilled she has a loving, forever home!

Cindy looked so miserable when she was found, and when she first started her weight loss journey. But her happiness at regaining her mobility so heartwarming. What a beautiful inspiration she turned out to be

Doing good. Overweight animals are almost if not always constipated, and thats why so long for the weight to come down. You can get specific fiber for pets to add to the food that will really help a lot.

This has to be one of the most beautiful stories I've ever seen on dodo Thank you for saving her And to the lady who adopted her I hope you have a long beautiful life with her she seems so happy now

When you over feed a dog to that point, it's animal abuse.
The dedication you all put in is wonderful. She looks so much happier and healthier! Great job to all, but especially Cindy

WOW! Look at the weigjt she has! It takes a village as someone once said! She just needed encouragement to lose the pounds! Now look at her, running and playing! Cindy is Captavating!

Not feeding a dog is abuse.
Feeding a dog too much is also abuse.
There is no difference - the dog suffers either way. That’s why there must be a balance.

Yes, you took her for lots of walks, but what was her diet It would’ve helped people with overweight dogs if you talked about how you fed her.

Was she homeless at the beginning She looked like she was from the streets, but how did she get that overweight She looked amazing at the end.

Love the background music. So glad someone who cared about her found her and made her life new again. You can see how much happier she is.

Bravo Cindy!
Probably a silly question but how does a stray get so big, as I would guess there’s not much food around

reply

That is hard work and dedication. Unusual to see an obese dog and my first thought was her heart. Great job guys!
