This happened to me, and my wife. We were at our local airport having breakfast, and there was a kitten with his umbilical cord still attached. He had been in front of the restaurant in the gutter, but someone had brought him back to the outdoor eating area, and placed him in the grass. Over the course of breakfast, one man stood over the kitten with his foot held high in a pretend act of stomping the poor kitten. At that point my wife grabs the kitten, and I knew we were in for a ride. But what a ride, we took him to the vet, and he said 50/50 whether he'd live, but we had no trouble with him, and he thrived. Bottle fed him every two hours or so, the wife took him to work where the physician she worked for would carry him around in his big DR's coat pocket showing his patients what he had hidden there. Mowgli, the name my wife gave him, actually became my best friend, and we had 13 great years with him!

This just Breaks my heart! As a person who has rescued animals All my life, (1st rescue 5 yrs old, w/ help from Mom, obviously. And over the past 22 yrs, very involved in my community w/ the feral cat situation, this IS a man/woman made CRISIS All Over America, & the world! And animals are the sad & unfortunate victims! It blows my mind, STILL after all these years how some people have hearts of gold for animals, & too Many others, hearts if STONE, & Literally ZERO conscience! Some people REALLY SUCK!

Stories like this make me happy. I got a kitten from a barn. Actually she picked me and she's full of energy. I'm glad she's living at my house. Every animal deserves to be taken care of and loved.

I still don't get how people can keep ignoring animals let alone baby kittens and pups. It's tougher in poorer countries I get it but literally walking past baby animals should be a crime.

You are that cats human, if the cat is forced to leave seems mean IMO. That's why i could not do fostering I fail every time.
Trust me i know i would fail its happened 3 times now.

Such a loving cat. I wish I could adopt her. But there is no way someone with my finances could keep her. She sounds VERY far away from where I live.
