Just one thing. Everyone loved Dumbledore. sorry but NO. while I loved the actors and their skill to bring this character to life - there is a huge number of people who HATE Dumbledore. Just look at the number of Fan Fiction published stories and sites that use the category Dumbledore Bashing as a way to filter the work.
It is in my view that Dumbledore is the EVILEST character ever put into a children's (or YA) book. EVER. and that includes Hitler (when Hitler stole pink rabbit, Sauron or Voldemort.
A famous man stated that for evil to win all it takes is for a good man to do nothing. and that is exactly what Dumbledore does. He does NOTHING to stop bullying, prejudice or child abuse in any book he is in. It is as if after defeating his boyfriend (and don't forget that he was encouraging him when they first met, and only started changing his tune after his sister died. and who really killed Ariana Dumbledore) that he gave up on actually doing anything of note and actually only gave lip service and motherhood statements to look like he was a good man
Why did he not go interview Sirius Black after the Potters died? If he betrayed them why was he not interviewed to find out what else he had done?
Why did Aberforth Dumbledore not act like he liked, loved or even trusted his brother?
Who did kill Ariana?
And most importantly -
Why did Dumbledore place Harry in an abusive home?
A home that was so abusive that it was one with NO love and then tell him that love was his greatest power? - emotions need to be learnt. reinforced. NAZIS are not born angry and full of hate and fear. A child raised without love and expressions of healthy love WILL NOT KNOW or understand healthy or positive love. in reality, without magic the Harry Potter raised by an abusive home will be abused, scared, untrusting and (understandably) mildly sociopathic child. this is NOT a child or young man who would sacrifice themself for anyone. They would (according to the Educational theorist Maslow) be concerned with getting enough food and adequate shelter. They would be sneaky, sly, manipulative, scared and most likely a thief. Lock a child away and starve them and you would get a child that would have hoarded food and never given any away. as they would have been scared of being hungry. They would NOT have been a Grifindore. they may have been Slytherin or most likely Ravenclaw.
So. That is just ONE reason why I HATE Dumbledoor. and I have another dozen or so reasons why I always hated him more than ANY other character in the books. Strangely his love for Gellert Grindelwald is the only thing about him that I like. while I hate their arrogance and bias against so many people. I find that his love for Gellert is the only thing that makes Dumbledoor human. and not a complete sociopath.
