Perhaps because he killed a mermaid not just any a queen of atlantica. Explaining that hook killing Athena may happened before Peter pan events.
Just because she isn't one of those mermaid. iads we seen in Peter Pan diesnt mean that it can't be either her relatives or sisters like ariel has, or that she didn't belong to that group before.
Also I think the things noticed that mistake they did with melody scene so no need for anger.
This could be ironic too you know? Hook hates Mermaids and triton hates humans because a human with a hook took his wife away from him.

If Queen Athena was kidnapped then why didn't King Triton send some other mermaids to go look for her why didn't he do that before thinking she had died and I agree that it might have been Captain Hook and his crew who did that to her and besides at the part where she got killed it didn't look like she was anywhere near the rock or the ship when she got killed so maybe she was kidnapped

You see the biggest hole in this right here is that in the original story Peter Pan is the bad guy in Captain Hook is the good guy so no Captain Hook did not hunt down mermaids and he did not kill Athena. Not to mention the only way that you can get to Neverland is by flying because it's a star how in the f did the mermaid get to the star

hey it might be true but your forgetting one big detail that ties some of it together if that red hair mermaid in peter pan is athena she would be able to age because if you dont know Neverland is a place of youth you stay young forever there so there is a 70 years different hello the island make everybody stay young they cant get old

That wasnt Queen Athena holding Ariel that was Ariel holding melody first Athena eyes are green in the movie thats Ariel with blue eyes and Ariel is saying you are my beautiful Melody the name of her daughter and also the baby (melody) has brown hair Ariel has red-ish orange

What if queen Athena was a teenager when she knew Hook. Then as the years went on, she grew up and matured and became the woman we all know today. Many of us make mistakes when we are young. Could Queen Athena be the same way?

About 1 of the red-haired mermaids from Peter Pan, I kept thinking that the 1 from 2: 30 looks like Ariel.
But when we meet Ariel's late mother, Queen Athena, I wonder if she looks like the mermaid from that film.
