Hades might have made the remark (3: 08) but that doesn't necessarily mean that he did it. Hades has two sides, and there are different ways to look at him. I'm going to look at those ways in this post.
1. Negative: Hades is a mean, awful person (Or so-called god) and he wants to harm Auradon and the isle of the lost.
2. Positive: Hades is a smooth talking, talented man who refers to himself as a god. He was banished to the Isle of the lost for 20 years, and spends a lot of time listening to rock music and playing it himself.

The ending was cute where he winks at her and says thanks for a glimpse of the sun and Mal kisses his cheek. And then at the very end its sweet because he comes out to Auradon and says am I invited to the party?
