Ive got something to add to the theory about Celias Ember trick
When Celia throws the ember into the well (even though it mightve been a trick) since the Enchanted Lake can, so they say, break spells, Im guessing this might have some outcome to the ember (if it WAS the real one.
I also do agree with the well connected to the lake theory. Jane probably went there as fast as she could so the lake wouldnt be filled with the Big Sleep Spell and not get turned into stone, so it mustve been a mission Mal gave to Jane.

I have a brand new theory
When you look at the D2 Mals dragon transformation, you can see that the weird purple air is a dark purple, but when you look at the D3 trailer, Mals dragon transformation is a lighter purple almost exactly like her hair color. This theory might show that when Hades struck at the VKs, this mustve impacted Mal as well as the other VKs. This might be a reason why her hair and dragon transformation changed color.
