How Disney Princesses Should Have Looked

These Disney Princess Characters Should Have Looked Different. We love Disney Princess fashion, but did you know that the ladies outfits arent entirely historically accurate? Were comparing Disney vs source material to show you what the Princess outfits should have looked like. That involves going all the way back to the 14th century for Princess Aurora we want to know if you love her new hairdo. If you love Princess Jasmines crop top, then youll be shocked to see what she should be wearing instead. As for Princess Ariel, her perfectly puffed up pink sleeves when she dines with Eric arent actually puffy enough. Just wait til you see how extra Princess Belles accessories and decorations are. More was most certainly more in 18th century France! When it comes to Mulans outfit, there are some fascinating revelations when you ask a historian particularly about her jewelry. With all of these five Princesses weve had a whole lot of fun creating animated versions of their historically accurate outfits, hair and makeup. Just think of it as a throwback retro makeover. Take a look at all of these before and after fashion fixes to see how they should have looked, and be sure to

First of all,
THESE ARE DISNEY PRINCESSES THEY ARE MAGICAL AND DO NOT NEED TO BE HISTORICALLY ACCURATE. Also, most the the accurate princesses are still as inaccurate as the originals.
Here is my critique:
Belle -
the skirt should be in the shape of a rectangle, not a weird semicircle thing
the STAYS, not a corset, should ABSOLUTELY NOT BE WORN ON BARE SKIN and should be there not to make the waist smaller (the eyelet holes were hand sewn and pulling them tighter would damage them, but to push the bust up and support the upper body
the choker should be a ruffle around the neck, not a weird Christmas present wrapping thing
also yall forgot to correct the sleeves, the sleeves would be about elbow length with little ruffles and floofs and the end
the hair should be more vertical with rolls and curls at the side and the face should be powdered white
mulan -
I am actually Chinese: )
the sleeves should be that long
the hem would not be that high
the shoes would have probably been black
i have never seen a necklace in an ancient Chinese painting, like ever
the hair should be in a single bun
jasmine - i do not know anything about this but i will say the corsets did not exist in the 16th and 17th century, and it would most certainly not be worn on bare skin
ariel -
why would you put a buckle in there, just why
the waist would have been higher
the curls would have been on the side of the head and much more curly
AND THIS WOULD BE THE CORRECT TIME TO SAY THAT SHE WOULD WEAR A CORSET/STAYS UNDER HER GOWN
aurora - again, not my area of expertise, but why did you put in the crown if she didn't know about her royaltiness yet?
ALSO
why is she wearing eyeliner?
that was not a thing back then
thank you for listening to me rant

No offense but Ill like where they were before Arial puffy sleeves are too puffy her hair is definitely wrong the Accessories yes on all of them but the rest looks like bad Milans hair style looks nice but the rest looks kind of bad I like it where was before I like her just being her Jasmine same thing but accessories were good and Bell wait should just be herself and her hair looks very terrible I just like them being them they were before beside the Accessories and Mulans hair

Disney reimagined that so it was a mix of modern day and 18th century. So yeah, theres the real reason. Also. the Mulan one. The sleeves were perfect length. You shouldve left these princesses alone. I liked the originals. And some of the moments like At least Disney got that right! That was kind of harsh.

I like the Disney Princesses' original looks. Favorite Princess: Mulan, beautiful and heroic, went into the battle or something instead of her father since he had already been badly injured in the last fight. I don't know why I'm too scared to watch the real version.

Dove sono i paragoni con principesse e disegni non bisogna mettere una copertina completamente diversa dal video ok la copertina serve per attirare le visuali ma deve essere consona al video

Jasmine wouldn't have wore that thing on her head bc she was trying to pretend she wasn't the princess. And some looks weren't possible for the storyline, animation, etc.
reply

Ummmm. I don't think the makers of this video knew that The little mermaid takes in place in Italy. even tough the orifinal story took place in Denmark.

I like the bells dress I wished her dress actually looked like that in the movie though because it has yellow bows and it's so cute because I love bows!
