Zendaya is great at improv, too. According to Andrew Garfield, it was Zendaya's idea to throw bread at his Peter Parker to test his Peter tingle, instead of grabbing a knife or a candlestick (something hard and dangerous) that the script called for. Andrew stated that Zendaya also made the scene he saves her in richer by gently asking if He was ok, after he asks her the same question.
