Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness had over forty minutes of content cut from it! Pretty Mad, right? That s why we re going to check out all of the most interesting cut scenes we could find. Like the superheroes that just didn t make the second draft like the quirky Phone Ranger, what happened with that original opening with Mordo, and even the silly Sam Raimi-style choice for an ending that related back to Michael Jackson s Thriller.
Wong was almost rewritten by Wanda to believe himself to be a Vegas Magician while Stephen Strange was almost Marvin Strange the powerless street musician. At least, one of the many Stranges would have been a powerless Magician. We can t really see that making sense with the character in literally any universe. He s got too much of an ego and a savior complex. Pizza Poppa, played by Bruce Campbell, got sprayed in the face with mustard for being a jerk.
There s one deleted scene of Doctor Stephen Strange and Doctor Palmer being chummy in an interview. We can t help but wonder if this was filmed for the first movie. One huge leak turned out to be a giant troll when reshoots replaced it. Let s just say the Minotaur was going to be more of an important figure. One version of Wasp would have been done away with in the most pathetic of ways. So pathetic it makes you feel bad. Yes, forty minutes of cuts could be an entire TV episode on its own.
