A little correction about Dorothy Gail - it's a myth that Judy wasn't the first choice. The project was bought for her and Arthur Freed wanted it as his first job as producer to build around Judy. Although Freed would eventually become an uncredited associate producer, the flirtation with Shirley Temple was much more brief than history has us believe. The money men in NYC wanted some box office assurance but Shirley couldn't handle the songs and Fox wouldn't let her out of her contract. It was brief and Judy was first choice.

The reason why the original Spider-Man trilogy was so memorable, was because of the producer LAURA ZISKIN
It was because of her and her husband (the screenwriter Alvin Sargent) that the movies had depth
She was the only one capable to tell AVI ARAD when to back off
Unfortunately, she died in 2011, during the production of TASM1
Without her, there was no one to stop Arad from destroying the franchise
Spider-Man was nothing without her

AAAARRGGHHHH! None of Humphrey Bogart's characters? Sam Spade? Philip Marlowe? Ric Blaine? How about Dirty Harry? Luke Skywalker? How about Ruth Gordon's Ma in Every Which Way But Loose (or Maude in Harold and Maude? Burt Reynolds as Bandit? James T. Kirk or Mr. Spock? Wonder Woman? Inigo Montoya in The Princess Bride? your list is so inadequate it's not funny

Peter Parker has one of the best origin stories of any Marvel superhero. Who doesn't love the thought of getting their Uncle killed, being broke and having to work for a boss who constantly does a smear campaign against you despite you risking your life to save people at the cost of your personal life. A very good life indeed.

Great list. I heard that in the book Breakfast At Tiffany that Holly was a hooker. The end of Silence Of The Lambs was perfection. I m having an Old Friend for Dinner and then slowly followed him. Ellen Ripley was my favorite Action Hero. Batman, Bond, James Bond and Darth Vader
Were a perfect way to wrap this up.

I heard rumors that Lucasfilm is thinking of doing a Darth Vader movie or series. In my opinion it s a terrible idea because likely they ll screw it up. If anything a video game would be more preferable with the creators Fallen Order and Survivor behind it.

I expected James Bond to be #1, but I can't complain about most of this list. However, I don't think you can call a character iconic who has only been around for ten years, like John Wick. That spot could have been filled by Dracula or Frankenstein's creature.

Legally Blonde is not even close to an iconic character at all. They could have put Jon Snow, Frodo Baggins, Gandalf, John McClain, Sarah Connor, Terminator, Wolverine, Peter Pan, Snow White, the list could go on and on of characters that will be remembered.

I saw Freddy vs Jason when I was 13. Fell in love with Freddy. A dream killer? A fresh concept to me back then. Still love him. I was even a female Freddy for Halloween in high school one year, (plastic) glove and all.

You think the character from legally blonde is a more iconic character than Godzilla, who has had more than 30 movies over 70 years including a massive hit this year. Watchmojo does it again.

You know, one of the things that i liked the most in this list, the presence of female characters that are really good and iconic, seems like nowadays many female characters are poorly made

Me: Garrus Vakarian should make the list
Them: These will just be movie characters
I'm Commander Shepard, and this is my favorite misleading video title on the Citadel
