Every Tarantino Movie Ranked (From Worst To Best)

we’ll be counting down Quentin Tarantino’s filmography, from his least awesome to his most awesome film. Our countdown includes movies The Hateful Eight, Reservoir Dogs, Jackie Brown and more! Which Tarantino movie do you feel got the short end of the Red Apple Tarantino is my favorite film maker of all time, his pacing, structuring and cinematography is just phenomenal. But what makes Quentin Tarantino such a master class in cinema, is his dialogue. His dialogue for his characters are just smooth as butter and filled with charisma. Tarantino dialogue is possibly the closest dialogue to actual human dialogue in the real world taken to the big screen.
But my all time favorite Tarantino film is Inglorious Bastards. My sister showed me his films as a kid and I grew up watching them, but Inglorious Bastards was the first Tarantino film I actually experienced first hand and it was amazing.

i'd switch Django and Inglourious Basterds.
Basterds was a letdown when it first came out. a lot of people were unimpressed how Brad Pitt never even fires a weapon in the film. and while a lot of people (including Tarantino) say the opening chat between Landa and the French farmer is his best scene ever, i still rate the Sicillian Scene higher, if only cos of the presense of Chris Walken.
i know True Romance is exempt from this list, don't at me.
Christoph Waltz is impressive and Oscar winning worthy. but, i don't think there's much else here i love.
snippets of dialogue between the Basterds, who are barely on screen together for 10 mins. and i found the love pursuit of Sussanna by the German sniper (whose name i don't even remember) predictable.
it's not a movie i watch on repeat. unlike the others in the top 5.

I was familiar with the heartbreaking details of the murders of Sharon Tate and her friends, so I was reluctant to watch Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. I was bracing myself as the film went further along towards that moment. The finale shocked me and I almost shed tears in a good way. For me, it was Tarantino's best. I think Django is his most overrated. The acting is downright embarrassing at times with the comically exaggerated accents, and holy mega dumbshit with the horse dancing at the end.

Few months ago I rewatched all Tarantino movie in two days. Just to find out what are my favorites.
Had so much fun, love all his movies. My list:
1. Django Unchained
2. Pulp Fiction
3. Inglourious Basterds
4. Kill Bill: Volume 1
5. Death Proof
6. The Hateful Eight
7. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood
8. Reservoir Dogs
9. Kill Bill: Volume 2
10. Jackie Brown
And 1, 2, 3 are interchangeable so are 4, 5, 6. Only picks for sure, are 7, 8, 9, 10.

No way is Death Proof the worst. Definitely underrated! Jackie Brown was always my least favorite. It was good of course, but least favorite story plot. Obviously Pulp Fiction is the crowning king!
I have no idea if sadly his final movie will be exciting, The Movie Critic. Starring Brad Pitt. Hopefully it's alot more exciting then it seems. Maybe Brad falls asleep and dreams he's in different movies.
I trust Tarantino

Jackie Brown has always been my personal favorite even though I know it isn’t his BEST film. I just love how the story is told and his shout outs to De Palma with the split-screens. It contains my #1 Sam L. Jackson performance and has one of the best soundtracks of all time. Also just love the cast of characters and all the actors who play them.

I would have rated Jackie Brown better on the list, but it would be hard to sort all of T's films in any kind of ranking. Jackie Brown was smooth, sultry, a tribute, and an original story. I would at least put it ahead of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Other than that, I can't argue with this list.
reply

You know I might have ordered it a little different but I might not have I think this list is in a pretty fair order I'm glad that Kill Bill Vol 2 was given a lower rating than volume one because volume one to me is a more enjoyable movie though Kill Bill volume 2 is also incredible

Haha just watched death proof the other day, glad it's the first up. It was CRAP. I saw kill bill so many times at the cinema, and caught a double feature where they played 1 and 2. Awesome movies. Wish i kept my cardboard standup of The Bride in her yellow 'game of death' suit.
reply

Django should’ve been in the Top 3! It’s supposed to be uncomfortable and it’s the most unique film in his filmography. Ranking it so low because it’s uncomfortable to watch is an insult because ALL of Tarantino’s movies are uncomfortable to watch
reply

It will always be Reservoir Dogs for me. Saw it in the cinema and was totally blown away. At the end, people went mad and clapped for ages. Never seen a reaction like that in the cinema before and just fell in love with Tarantino right there and then.
reply

My ranking:
9. Jackie Brown
8. Death Proof
7. The Hateful Eight
6. Reservoir Dogs
5. Django Unchained
4. Once Upon A Time in Hollywood

1. Pulp Fiction
