I happen to know a hellhound. I've seen her two times, but she doesn't want to harm me or anyone else. A benevolent hellhound might sound out there, and isn't want you would suspect, as hellhounds are often malicious and want nothing less than to kill anyone, but Heller, the one i've seen, doesn't seem to have that evil they've become known for.
In some stories, seeing a hellhound three times means you die, but again, it depends on which story you believe. I'm not sure what the hellhound i've seen wants, but she wants something, i'm just not sure of what. I do have a feeling that the hellhound i know isn't serving Satan or hell, not anymore at least.

There’s something annoying about the wendigo not being on this list, for those who don’t know, the wendigo is a monster, taking the appearance of either a pale, emaciated, human with sharp teeth, or more prominently as 12 ft tall man with a deer skull akin to the Minotaur, this creature has a bunch of tricks up its sleeve to lure its prey into it’s trap, the Natives fear this creature so much that it’s taboo to talk about it in their culture

Manananggal is on the top list but it's not the most terrifying creature from the philippines we have the tik tik where they like to suck the babies inside the womb of their mother while they are asleep using their elongated tongue and another one is tiyanak didn't know if it has a connection with the tik tik but it's a baby turning into a monster at night.

You know what's worse than the mananaggal The penanggalan. The manananggal separates its upper torso to fly around. The penanggalan pops off its head and takes its organs and entrails with it as flies around.

Mare is from the Nordic countries where I'm from. In Denmark nightmare is called mareridt which translates to mare ride. The word is hers and the terror she brings by riding people.
