i feel like fisk could have gotten a higher rank honestly if it was played by a less skilled actor. subtlety is what makes this fisk as scary as he is, the slow vocal pattern is part of just how hard he is, he gets what he wants, he doesn't ever feel the need to rush his words, they're important, and he knows that everyone knows that, which is what leads to such extreme responses whenever anyone does not fall into place as they should. a less skilled actor would over play it, there'd be too much exaggeration, it'd be a truly evil character, which everyone would focus on their brutality purely, not the little humanity and pain that makes this character choose his actions.

Nobody makes me feel as unsafe as Anthony Starr as Homelander.
Every. Damned. Scene I am just wondering what he'll do next. He feels utterly unhinged and I am loving it! I was so surprised to see Anthony Starr in Covenant, Guy Ritchie's movie, as he was completely different and he looks SO GOOD with black hair and beard!
What a talent.

Gus Fring is great and definitely the stand out villain from Breaking Bad, but Lalo should have been the main pick here.
Also, Mr. Robot had a lot of great villains to choose from. Irving is a stand out, all though his screen time was way too short. Whiterose, Janice, or even Fernando would have been great choices too.

Homelander is an amazing villain, but Gus Fring is still number 1 for me, i mean honestly, everytime when Gus acted friendly i got scared cause i didnt know when he would snap to his true evil side.
Well anyway, everybody has it’s opinion, im more scared of Gus, that’s all.

Silco from Arcane was spectacular. Terrorblade from Dota: Dragon's Blood was pretty awesome as well, especially his entrance. Voice actors nailed them both.
Also, Jeffrey Dean Morgan has so much charisma that if you could turn it into electricity, you could power the world.

That they let the fans make a redeemed hero out of the execrable Negan is the reason I finally stopped watching TWD. They not only redeemed this creature but rewarded him with a pregnant wife. Disgusting betrayal of one of the series' most popular characters, Glenn.
reply

Bev Keane from Midnight Mass definitely deserved an honorable mention. You know you're a good villain when you're more hated than the literal blood sucking vampire that's in the show. Also Lorne Malvo deserves an actual spot on the list and not an honorable mention.
reply

Alex Hirsch as Bill Cipher in Gravity Falls.
The role was supposed to be a guest appearance by David Lynch, but he couldn’t make it and Alex, the show’s creator, stepped up to fill in for him and ended up making the character the show’s main antagonist.

although he wasn't my favorite character, Mark Pellegrino's portrayal of Lucifer on Supernatural was really good. That show had a ton of good TV villains. one of my least favorite (because of how he talked) but the actor was good at it was Alastair

What about Keith David as King Andrias from Amphibia, Ron Perlman as The Lich from Adventure Time, Robert Englund as Anti-Pops from Regular Show, David Tennant as the Lord Commander from Final Space, and Matthew Rhys as Emperor Belos from The Owl House
reply

Hugh Laurie as Richard Roeper in The Night Manager. That show is underrated AF.
Hamish Linklater as Father Paul in Midnight Mass. Brilliant villain in an amazing show.
Harry Treadaway as Brady Hartsfield in Mr. Mercedes - such a great show.

reply

Ally Walker as Agent June Stahl in Sons of Anarchy. That woman was the bane of the club’s existence. She was calculating and cunning and good at being an all around scumbag. It was gratifying watching her get her comeuppance at the end of season 4.
reply

Actually insane that y’all gave the spot to Gus and not Lalo Salamanca. Gus is great don’t get me wrong but Lalo was the best villain on that show and it’s not even close. Tony Dalton gave the best villain performance of the past decade.

My top 5 villain performances that should have made the list:
1. Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy
2. Alan Tudyk as Mr. Nobody
3. David Tennant as Kilgrave
4. Thomas Ian Griffith as Terry Silver
5. Theo James as Bastion

reply

this list is only like 50% decent, where the f are:
Heath Ledger Joker,
Tom Hardy Bane,
Cillian Murphy Tommy Shelby,
Michael B. Jordan killmonger,
Tom Hiddleston Loki,
James Spader Ultron or
Josh Brolin Thanos

Of Breaking Bad, I think Gus Fring was a hero compared to Walt. If Jesse had just picked him, he and Mike could have enjoyed a long and carefree, wealthy life. He'd perfected his system and it would have paid dividends for years.
reply

I also love the fact that when people try and call Anthony homelander he immediately shuts it down. Dude knows he is portraying an absolute psycho and does not want people thinking that Homelander is an actual good person.
reply

Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin, Iwan Rheon’s Ramsay Bolton, Jamie Campbell Bower’s Henry Creel/001/Vecna, Giancarlo Esposito’s Gus Fring, and Martin Krove’s John Kreese are all on my version of this list.
