#1 Hairdresser reacts to people going to the lowest rated hair salons

My input regarding people doing their hair at home is that it has been my experience that most professional hair stylists Ive been to DO NOT listen to their clients! I believe this is why many people have given up on going to a professional. I cannot tell you how many times throughout my life I have gone to a stylist, brought pictures of cuts, explained what I wanted, vocalized my desired outcome, knowing what will work for my hair type, and I end up leaving with a Bob or something that is a current trend with women in their 20s! I try to give my input as they are working and Im patted on the head and told just wait, it will all come together. It has happened to me over and over again and so now I do my own hair always. I did attend beauty school and learned enough to be dangerous so I really appreciate the things Ive learned from you! I recently purchased many of your products and cant wait to try them. Thank you sweetheart. You rock!

First girl had a specific request and he shouldve admitted he didn't know how. Her first time hair wasn't too bad but she shouldn't have gone back that soon after toning. I wouldn't have taken my broke tail back there! I'd rather look basic, let it grow out and find a more trendy stylist!
Second girl got messed over by the stylist. They shouldve fixed it for free- her cut was crooked and the top 6 inches was still undone so that was super bogus. They didn't correct anything lol they just made it worse kinda? Idk why she would even go back.
Both of them kinda slow for going back

Wow these comments are disgusting. Yes, these girls went to a one star salon. In NO world does that justify the hairstylists not doing their jobs correctly. It is NOT ON THEM for the hairstylists messing up. Honestly, how can people preach about businesses improving while expecting nobody to ever go to a badly reviewed place? Do you think brands can magically improve without customers and critique? Bashing everyone who gives a badly reviewed business a chance is disgusting, and it's more disgusting to blame the customer for a bad business.

It is NOT ON THEM for the hairstylists messing up. Honestly, how can people preach about businesses improving while expecting nobody to ever go to a badly reviewed place? Do you think brands can magically improve without customers and critique? Bashing everyone who gives a badly reviewed business a chance is disgusting, and it's more disgusting to blame the customer for a bad business.

I hate needing to get my hair cut. Im sorry, but most hairdressers that I have been to are AWFUL. The only good haircuts I have gotten have come from people who are at expensive salons and are unaffordable most of the time - any hair stylist that is affordable is terrible. Im just going to have to make it work from now on, financially. I cant take another bad haircut. The last one gave me a SHORT, CHOPPY layer and I had to get like 10 inches of my hair total cut off.

Brad dont give her the benefit of the doubt she literally chose the worst one knowing it was the worst one and had a bad attitude while there she shouldve been more happy and more expecting great results she shouldve been so negative about this process knowing its the worst rated in her city she came in there with a bad look on her face to begin with so I wouldnt blame the hairdresser to be honest I thought maybe hes trying his best just like you did

If not, they are fools! How do they know the best stylist for their required look? How can enough time be allocated? A stylist may want to prepare their technique or ask more questions, or take a test cutting.
Anyway, neither stylist did a massively bad job to begin with. I agree the first look was a bit ropey after round 2.

Issue #1: She didn't say anything!
That was 100% her own fault. She didn't show her stylist the photo BEFORE he started putting in the highlights, she just sat there not saying anything for HUGE chunks of time and when she did it was just to criticize what he'd already done. Um, when I was a kid this would be when we'd say: Jack, Jack no take backs!

I went to a hair stylist and they ended up cutting off half my hair, my bangs were swept to the side when I didn't aant a fringe: ( she cut it to short and then on top of that she charged 2x as much as she originally agreed on with Me

The first girl was so negative. Like if she cut off the red/brown ends and fixed the layers it would look really good. Yeah she didnt get what she wanted and it wasnt great but she asked more more blonde and thats what she got. She doesnt have to have a go at the stylist for trying

I pay $100 for a balayage and style bc
1. she works weekdays at a salon which would be more pricey but weekends she does it at home
2. Me and her daughter go to the same high school
3. since i'm in high school and don't make my own money she charges me less

Ive been cutting/coloring my own hair for years and last time I decided to treat myself to a salon, I spent almost $300 and had to go back 3 times to fit the crooked AF haircut and missed hairs in the undercut. Never. Again. I feel for them.

The first lady had a right to be mad, cause it's her hair, and he still didn't do it right. If it's not something he does, it's not something he should book for. I agree people make mistakes, but he doesn't know how to do layers?

Why don't hairdressers use color b4 or color oops if it removes colour without bleaching hair, surely it would be safer? Also what's the safest way to go from black to blonde? Color b4 or bleach

The first girl was a rude, whiny pig. He did a fine job, but the problem wasn't her hair. It was her. You can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig. What an ungrateful, miserable excuse for a human being.

Wouldnt be surprised if the dude put too much bleach on the second round angrily because she didnt like what he gave her the first time because it looks like he did a shat job on purpose almost out of spite
