this summer i got bored of my half pink half blue hair and big roots. i wanted clean canva again, but i knew i'd take few bleaches to take off the colors and i didn't have enough money to do it all professionaly. so i took my blonde me 2% 9 vol developer and their color removed. it took four takes on the blue side and one on the pink side to take off 95% of the color. i had a spash of mint green in the middle, over all minty tone on half of my hair. but that was it. i wouldn't trust myself with bleaching my 4inch roots or cleaning more of the back of my head that i didn't really see lmao. i left this part to deal with to my hair dresser and couldn't be happier. now i have pretty blonde hair, surprisingly my hair still wants to curl and i admire everyone who bleaches their own hair.

Could you make a video showing curly cut fails? The reason I ask is because I had my first curly cut back in June and it was one of the worst things I have ever gotten done to my hair. I didn t do it myself. I went to a hair salon that specialized in curly cuts when I left the salon, my curls looked bouncy and fresh and just so flattering. But then the next day when I washed and styled my hair at home, the curls fell at all different lengths and they were high pieces and long pieces and it literally looked like a five year old head cut my hair. I had to go back with straightened hair and have them cut it the normal way.

I believe some things are better left to the professionals I speak from experience having messed up my hair on more then one occasion. I once tried to color my hair and ended up with orange hair this was back in the early 70 s when orange hair was not something you seen. I was blessed with an Aunt who was a beautician so she could always fix my mess up s even when I managed to turn my hair green. Please don t destroy your hair especially with bleach. I would be happy to have a nice head of hair mine is so thin you can see my scalp. You should watch Brads videos and listen to his advice.

It took me a month to get from blue to blonde. Hairstylist tried two rounds of bleach and one round of color remover. My hair refused to budge entirely. I went home with virtually unchanged hair, just now significantly more damaged. I wasn't looking to get platinum hair, just getting the blue out and leaving me with a starting point was good enough for me.
Ended up going a dark golden brown at home in a desperate attempt to get rid of the blue and successfully went platinum blonde one month later. No blue, even removed all the gold tones.

When I did this my hair was like the 3rd girls I didn't know how to do a bleach bath so I soaked my head in peroxide & hot water until i got tired of leaning over the sink air dried it then used Honest(y)/ Honestly baby shampoo let it sit on dry hair for 10 min on the last bit of green I put pink & lavender Demi permanent dye & it surprisingly came out.
2nd time I did it I just washed it once let it sit with shampoo rinsed & once it was green I dyed it red after it faded I didn't have any residual green left

I feel I achieve the impossible at home so thanks Brad for the tips, I went from a blueish purple back to a chocolate color but I didn't want a dull dark color with greenish bits so I did lightened the hair two times with 20 volumes. The first time I did it on the all head and the second I touched up all the blue bits. I ended up with slightly greenish hair, which I thought would happen so I when on with professional copper dye with 20 volumes and only then I did the chocolate dye. IT'S EVEN THANKS GOD BRAD AHAHA

I ve tried many, many bright hair colours and weirdly enough, blue is the one that will absolutely not stick for me. It washes out in 2-3 washes, whereas I ve had warm-toned hair colours that lasted up to a year. Luckily I never had issues getting any colour out using bleach, even with the intenser or darker ones, I ve never had to bleach my hair more than once to get to a light yellow. Not sure what that says about my hair, because it contradicts everything that anyone else always says

I had blue hair until six weeks ago and remember being so over it, but I had already fried my hair bleaching it to dye it blue, so not even a bleach bath was an option. In the end I let my roots grow out about three inches and then put a dark purple over the blue which looks great and I will leave in until my hair has grown enough to just cut it into a short bob without any color in it. I will never dye my hair blue again.

I had hair similar to the first girl's hair. An inch of dark roots, then it went from a silver/grey to a pastel blue. Even though I've been bleaching and dying my hair for nearly 30 years, I knew I did not have the patience or the ability to remove the color and bleach my roots. Instead I cut half my hair off and threw a Demi-permanent black dye over it and figured I would deal with it in May.

I once dyed my hair blue using Manic Panic. I waited months until it faded into a light teal before trying to bleach it out. We stripped my hair twice before calling it and coloring it black to cover the blue. My hairdresser said that certain colors have metallic something or other in them and it's almost impossible to get out.

Why don't they just paint it dark brown or black? Getting out these bright colors is nearly impossible and probably destroys their hair altogether. These fails give me anxiety just watching them. Luckily, if I ever get bored of my blue hair, I will just go very dark. My ends are dead as it is. No need for nuclear treatment.

I went from emerald green to dark auburn. Seeing as they are opposite on the color wheel. It's almost impossible to get the blue/green pigment out of the hair strand because it's not just dye, it's stain. You end up having to cut it off or go with a color that is darker and opposite on the color wheel.

The first girl! I had the same hair color and the same problem. My natural hair is JET black and THINK. What happened to her happened to me but my roots stayed ORANGE because of how dark my hair is. Anyways it took me over two years to grow my hair long again and to get rid of the blue

I had Arctic Foxs Blue Jean Baby at the tips of my hair for a little over a month with dirty blonde virgin roots. I ve gotten most of the blue out using head and shoulders. It s still very light blue but I know a quick little bleach session would do the trick to remove the rest.
