It's Shark's ENTIRE business model. If you covet a Dyson, they will make something similar but much less-than and convince you it's just as good. Shark fans are simply in need of a deal and will defend the product to the death to prove it's really not about the price. But it's really about the price. Same with the vacuums. The only people who think Shark is just as good, are the ones that don't own a Dyson. Come for me, I don't care. I bought into the Shark-fan hype for a vacuum for my office and immediately regretted it. Half-price is NOT a good deal when it only works as good as the 50 Eureka. Personally, I can't see paying 550 for the Dyson hair wrap, but it doesn't mean I believe the Shark is a deal at 269, or any price really.

I have this shark and I love it. I like the round brush as I have a lot of hair so the tension and the size help a lot. But I'll definitely get a smaller version as well if they release it later on. I do not like that the cold shot does not get cool enough for me and maybe the buttons could be placed more up, but for being 350 less than the Dyson, it is a better deal IMO.
Once you get used to using it (which took me probably around two weeks, you'll be satisfied!

It's your time to shine babe! Be the one to create the middle runner for us! I was waiting to see a truly honest review like this, all the ones I've seen are total raves. They just seemed too. over the top maybe? I think I would be annoyed by a lot of the things you nitpicked about here as well. I do love the fact that the shark rotates for a more traditional blowdrying experience, so I'd love to see that in an, overall, more higher end feeling tool.

Thank you for being nit picky! It s cheaper than the Dyson, and that s great, but it s STILL EXPENSIVE! I am hoping Shark watches this for feedback and comes out with a new, better version!
PS Thank you for mentioning the weight, it s useful for hair stylists I m sure, but also helpful for those of us with mobility issues, and can t hold something heavy at head level for that long!

I honestly don t really like the Dyson either. Nothing beats the curls a curling iron gives and they LAST! Plus Dyson straight up lies saying it doesn t cause damage bc it definitely causes more vs my iron. I could see the benefit if you struggle with mobility having this be a benefit but other than that, they are just a gimmick product.

Brad, thank you so much for giving up the dyson opportunity to give us an honest review. I found out about a month ago this exists although there is nowhere yet to order in UK, and I really need good reviews due to how badly I damaged my hair in the past. thank you so much, all of us that cannot afford a dyson really appreciate it

Your energy cracks me up! And love your hair products too! My daughter, my sister, and I only use your line. I seriously need to look and see if you have stuff for really curly hair for my son. He s got about 23 inches of curly thick hair and no matter what I do it dries out within a day and becomes matted.

I just returned mine, even the lowest temperature setting was pretty hot on mine, there s no way it s not damaging your hair. I d rather just use my regular hair dryer with a round brush and my chi spin n curl. I wasn t really into the Dyson either, I have a lot of fine blonde hair and it just makes it frizzY

Just based off of the final result of both and the speed run of the Dyson, I think the Shark side looked better and less frizzy even taking into consideration the length of the dyson wand. Just the actual drying process looked a little cleaner with the Shark! Definitely comparable product thank goodness

Just an FYI the air wrap thingy, the curls don t last long! I ve done my normal hair routine and the curls flopped not even half way through the day. When I do it with the revlon air brush it last like 1 1/2 day and even after the curls look decent. It s a waste of money to purchase the shark product ngl

I find the decision to keep their branding from their beauty tools the same as their home cleaning tools to be an odd one. Maybe they did it because Dyson did it, but this doesn t look like 269. They should have created a sub brand that is geared towards beauty with an aesthetic to match.
