were going to do another toe video and its gonna be french. Ive buffed over my nails and Im going to straighten the free edge and add a soft curve to the corners. Ill apply a base coat first and Ill use an orange wood stick soaked in gel residue wipe off solution and clean up anything that gets on the skin. Im going to use Beaty Beneath as a base colour and use a pointy tool to get it right up to the cuticle. Im going to do 2 coats of that. Im going to get a dotting tool and dip it into the white to apply it just to the tip of the nail, creating a little bit of a curve. Ill finish with top coat and cuticle oil

Wow These turned out GREAT I've never seen a French manicure on toenails that I actually liked before. I think it may be because they make the white part too wide? Oh, and the instep vs. arch thing. The arch is the part on the sole and the instep is the top of your foot, where the metatarsals are. I have always had very high insteps, even as a child. Sadly, I always had to buy wide width shoes to accommodate my insteps, which meant my shoes were always more expensive, AND last year's (or older) styles. It SUCKED when I was a teen. And now, my arches have fallen, my insteps are STILL very high, and I still have to buy wide, or extra wide, shoes. Luckily, in my mid-fifties, I don't give a flying fig about current trends, I only care about comfort. You would NEVER catch me in a Loubitan stiletto, even if they actually came in my size. I'm much more the Birkenstocks and sneakers kind of woman. I think everyone (almost) has something weird about their feet, but Kirsty has nice feet, even if she doesn't think so. I have fourth toes that curve toward my third toes and are shaped exactly like a cashew. My mother and her father also have, or had, the exact same fourth toes. They might be weird, but along with the weird fourth toes, we also have immunity to small pox, so I'll take the weird fourth toes for that immunity. Another thing that's happened as I've gotten older is that arthritis is changing the shape of my toes, especially the big toe. They now curve toward the other toes so much that the joint above my big toenails curve toward the other toes at about a 45 degree angle. Sadly, I just can't wear sandals in the summer anymore.

I love french mani and pedi. I can get a french pedi and it'll last 6-9 months and looks perfect the entire time lol ive been too poor to go get them done, i think its been like 8 yrs. I usually dont do anything with my finger nails but I always do my toes. it never comes out as good as it does when a professional does it, obviously haha I do miss having pretty frenchie toes tho id have french toes 24/7, 365 days a year if I could.

Oh, if I had that kind of flexibility it would be so much easier to do. I don't think you would like mine at all. I do the thick line, and the white goes on first, then the rest of the nail. I use a bling pink sparkly on the nail and against the white it is seriously bling bling. It is nice to be able to see someone else do their toes

I love Adam's idea, it's good to reuse packing things as much as possible. I'm normally not a fan of French nails but it really suits toes I might even try this on my toes as best I can. Two of my toes have a damaged matrix after I dropped a kayak on my feet back in 07, so those grow a bit weird.

I have horrible toenails. The are thick an hard to trim. I also have never seen anyone with toes like mine. Most people have their second toe as long or longer than their big toe. Not me, my toes get shorter as you move from the big to little toe.

I love French tip toenails too. For years my toes were either French tip or red. Nothing else. My fingers were either French tip or just clear overlay. I was so scared of color Lol. Now I like to try other things but French toes are timeless.

Great video - love thin lines too - Adam's idea for toe separators works nicely. Your toes are not ugly so don't worry. Personally I think feet in general are ugly on EVERYBODY - perfect toes or not - feet are just plain weird, LOL. ;D

If I could post a pic of my feet on here I would, I broke (smashed actually) both little toes on each foot 18 years ago, they've healed wonky and twisted so they kind of sit tucked under my other toes. They are a mess

It makes me laugh so hard when you talk about the shape of your toes because I have one toe on each foot that looks like it belongs on the other foot. My mom and have always laughed that my toes got switched.
