as we delve into this classic Sokovian (actually Hungarian) comfort food. Balazs: Actually you can forget the frying pepper and the tomato (however they are not hurt, but not needed) But at the end, remove the meat, put some sour creme and flour mixture to the sauce, and actually after you stir it (liasion maybe) you can put back the meat. Serve, enjoy.

Funny enough my grandma always makes that dish for us when she comes to visit from Hungary! We normally eat it with smaller dumplings and creamier sauce more like a soup, but Ive heard that different people make it different ways, so its cool seeing other methods: )

I'm Hungarian and I can say it looks pretty cool, but sour cream is usually added at the end-stage of the cooking. Sour cream is mixed with flour and then added to the paprikash and cooked for a minute to thicken the stew.

I've been doing an MCU marathon with my parents where we watch one of the movies per week in chronological order. This coming week is Civil War and I am going to make this recipe in celebration.

Unflavored Greek yogurt is a great substitute for the sour cream. the flavor and brightness is still there if youre trying to reduce caloric and fat intake

You don't have to be Hungarian or polish to call your grandmother oma, we call them oma in Germany as well, which it's were the name comes from.

Thank you babish for taking us on this journey with you. And also for making my favourite dish made by my favourite superhero. I may have cried.

I like my local spots paprikash because the sauce is reduced down and thick enough to coat everything but hopefully I can make my own here soon

Thank you so much for creating this. You have changed the way I cook. I understand it now because of how you break it down.
