Join Molly in the Test Kitchen as she makes Pasta al Limone. This classic lemon sauce recipe has a lot of fat and a lot of acidity, so dont be shy with adding salt and taste as you go. It will likely require more than you think to strike that perfect balance

Foreigners simply don't understand Italian relationships and culture. Italians argue among themselves all the time, especially regarding dishes and traditional recipes are seen as a cultural treasure and part of the Native Italian identity. When they criticize foreigners they treat you equally as they would criticize an Italian (maybe even less harshly considering foreigners might not be aware of the reasoning behind choosing ingredients for a particular dish) and you need to understand that you can't come out of nowhere, take a huge dump in their identity and culture and expect them to be quiet about it. Enjoy whatever you want, just respect Italians (or any other group) and their culture. Pasta al LimoneSpaghetti 350gButter 40 gramsLemon zest 1 untreated Lemon juice 1 untreated Garlic 1 clove Extra virgin olive oil 1 tablespoon Sea salt q. b. Parsley 1 tbsp, chopped I wonder were you get heavy cream in Pasta al Limone?

Havent watched the video yet, I wanna make a guess as the dialogue: Um, like, totally, you can like, totally, um, totally pasta water, and um, like, um, totally omg, talk with an obnoxious sorority sister voice, totally, and um, like and say only half of the names of the ingredients, cause they are like, totally too hard to remember, um, omg, Im totally like, um. Did I nail it? I wont put myself through the torture of watching this dumb girls videos, but I trust yall to let me know how close I was

If anyone wants to make this vegan it's super easy. Just use vegan butter and the pasta water as a base for the sauce. The starch in the water combined with the butter along with some vegan parm will make a nice cream sauce. I would also recommend sweating some chili and garlic in olive oil for the sauce it will bring this to another level

I tried this recipe tonight but only used a tablespoon of lemon juice because both me and my mom don't like too harsh of a lemon flavor. One of my favorite pasta dishes now. So easy, didn't make a mess was so creamy but still light and had just the perfect amount of lemon flavor. Delicious, will defaintly be making again hopefully soon

Can confirm -- this dish is delicious and easy Can also confirm it really doesn't microwave well Despite best efforts, it is predictable that the butter emulsified in the sauce seperates and melts away, leaving behind a yellow puddle at the bottom of the bowl. Make this recipe for the family or for a dinner party, don't plan on leftovers

Omg, I'm so glad you compared it to cacio e Pepe, because that was my favorite dish until I saw you make this? This is the most scrumptious dish, I love it I'll think about it and crave it. The lemon makes all the difference. You need that acid to cut through the fat for balanced deliciousness. So GOODThank you I think I'll make it now.

Serious Eats teaches to use less water for the pasta to increase the starch concentration, which helps everything constitute together nicely in the sauce. Less separation, more flavourful pasta, and, in my experience, better mouthfeel. I wonder if following that step would also mean you can get away with using less salt in the water.

I've done this sauce 3 times now. I followed Molly's recipe the first two times, the third time I added sliced garlic and butter to the sauce and it was heaven. Next time I'll finish it off with some chopped fresh parsley. I really recommend trying this recipe to try and then another time with garlic. You'll never go back.

Why do white people always have a story of what they do annually or daily that they can always bring up when making a video cause it always relates. The worst part is that there is always a schedule. My dad ALWAYS bought icecream ihop cakepop EVERYDAY after school. Doesnt that get boring. Nice vid tho.
