Lets not lie to ourselves, Turkey is the most inferior protein of all and it usually always sucks. Even the perfect Turkey is a dish that pales in comparison to some of the other proteins out there so this year I challenge you all to break that mold and cook something different for once. I'm not talking about Ham either as I know some families do that too, go out and get a full sirloin of a cow or get some nice fresh fish or some crabs or lobster. There are so many amazing tasting foods out there so why do we choose to eat the one that flat out sucks? I'll be chowing down on venison loin this year for the holiday with grilled asparagus, scalloped potatoes, southern baked beans, pasta salad, Hawaiian sweet rolls, and to top the night off homemade raspberry pie.

Hi - I would like for Clair to please (demonstrate more slowly) the BAs classic stuffing. Her previous demo. was too fast. if she could do it more slowly and fill in the blanks instead of leaving it up to assumptions that would be great. i. e. like the size of pan to use, how much would this stuffing feed, you can make it the night before and refrigerate it then cook it. but some others say that it could come out too soggy. etc. i a going to give this stuffing a trial run and if it works, i will use it for thanksgiving this year. I want to try and pre-make it the night before and then bake it on Thanksgiving day.

Thanksgiving is so American, it's one of those things that no one can identify with anywhere else in the world x'D it's not celebrated in Europe as far as I know, the first time I heard about it was at my high school in France, they would make special themed menus once in a while, and one of them was a thanksgiving-inspired menu to represent the USA haha I'm sure it was so far off

seeing all those old bon appetit magazines really brought me back. i remember my grandma used to hoard bon appetit magazines with the recipes she wanted to try dog-eared. we got rid of all of them when she passed away, but now i wish we had kept them so i could try to recreate them myself.

I feel like having different people make each component is something that actually happens, at least within my family. We always have someone make one thing and bring it to our house so one person down do it all

What makes a perfect Thanksgiving? Its as simple as family and friends. It sounds a little sappy on paper but if the main course became a disaster you would still have a great time among loved ones.

Ugh, I might skip this season of making perfect. Just by looking at the run of what's to come I wouldn't eat any of the food at thanksgiving. yeah hard pass.

Division of labor? During the cooking of a holiday meal? Those words do not compute. At least not in our family. I need sous chefs immediately.
