I enjoy when cooks and such talk highly of pan cooking or roasting meats. I live in a rural/farm area and everyone talks like grilling is the only way for meat. But like, no? Its not bad but honestly grilling, for me, is more of. an environment thing. An outdoor lunch. More the party sort of exerience. But, like, casual dinner? Or when eating indoors? Grilling is okay but unless youre doing it for ages for smoked flavour and correctly, pan or roasting is always my way to go, it just works better for me.

I have such a love/hate relationship with this whole format. On one hand I love the idea and I'm really curious about a lot of the methods and I'm glad that someone else tried it so that I don't have to use my money. On the other hand the voice over noises are just sooo awkward. I would have preferred his actual talking at that moment over it. And I can't believe they keep doing it when everyone complains.

it's straight up unsafe to eat ground beef anything but well done. pathogens can exist on the exterior of cuts of beef, and when it's ground there is no distinct outside and inside like you'd get on a steak that you can sear and make safe. people may say, look at france, they eat beef raw all the time, and they're fine, but france has an extremely high prevalence of parasites caused by that habit

My prejudice against gas grills got confirmed and I wasn't surprised that charcoal grilled took gold and cast iron silver. I usally add just a little ground black pepper and a tiny litte bit of thyme and/or oregano to the meat. Seared onions on top are really good too, but I usally raost them seperatly, so that the juices do not interfere with the crustiness and browning of the paddy.

So everyone commenting on how rare the burgers are, while it's not everyone's taste for sure, if you you have good quality hamburger you can confidently cook it to medium rare and a lot of chefs would actually prefer that. Theres even an episode of Kitchen Nightmares where Gordon says that a burger could have been more medium rare despite being great.

Amiel already knew what he was going to think before he cooked each burger. I'd think a lot more of this series of videos if he tasted them without knowing what method was used, preferably blindfolded (especially with burgers, since the meat is mostly hidden in the bun.

I know with steak you can eat it rare, but I've heard that beef burgers need to be completely cooked through, because the ground up beef causes more surface area for bacteria to form. But I see people cook burgers medium/rare all the time, so is that not true?

Every Method is a great series, and a brilliant idea, but I cannot stand the fact that it's dubbed after filming. At a bare minimum I would want a reaction shot with a tight camera and live audio - what's the point in pretending to react to something?

Tired of people complaining about the chewing noises. This is eccentric extraordinaire Amiel Stanek, and the series wouldn't be the same without his eccentric choices like blowtorching potatoes (or fake voiceover chewing. So lets not be mean: )
