These are the key examples of why people are lovin' it less and less compared to newer food chains. joel750: McDonald's quality has been declining for over decade, They once had the best burgers and they lost me a s well. I used to be a McDonald's junkie but lately, their burgers are becoming less tasty so i was forced to go to Carl's Jr. I mean sure, Carl's is a bit more expensive BUT their burger patties are BIGGER and it's more heftier in bulk! Taste wise? This would belong to Carl's jr. so this is where i spend my burger money on. Unless McDonald's really does something drastic, I don't think they'll ever turn things around and gain back most of their lost customers including me.

Video is a bit sensational and misses a lot of points. And of course millennials are leaving McDonalds, they're all foodie hipsters that want good unique food, not mainstream food that's meant to be universally identical. I too prefer unique, small restaurants that offer food I wouldn't get at typical places, but McDonalds caters to the wide audience of people who want something familiar. Even if they go on Vacation over to Asia, at most they'll have a slightly different menu but it'll still be distinctly McDonalds, and will be in their comfort range. Also the fries have many ingredients, but none of them are really bad. at least not in any way you wouldn't expect from fatty and oily fries. Most ingredients are found in all sorts of foods we eat every day from grocery stores and even more trendy restaurants. The only thing that's slightly unusual is from dimethylpolysiloxane, which is a defoaming agent. but even this is found in any fountain drink, or even in the food items sold at similar fast food chains. McDonalds is pretty unappealing to a lot of people, myself included, but anybody can see that it's still got a lot to offer to the main population. Especially once most people realize that most of the bad news they hear is either plain wrong, or sensationalized to appear to be worse than it actually is.

Business school much? I assure you that giant with its land rights, agricultural holdings, food processing contracts and brand recognition 2nd only to Coke is not going anywhere b/c their food has too many calories. The fact that they are downsizing shows them taking steps to deprive the market and redirect demand to its remaining locations. The world will always have 16 years olds to take the low wages to push the buttons. They are literally selling legal crack at a fraction of the price and the side effects are being offset with new heart and diabetes medications and cheaper weight loss surgeries that are giving license to eat away (unfortunately) guilt free and you're telling me they are going under? . Get this shit out of my face. It's pissing me off more than it should.

What is she talking about? In March 2006, McDonald's stocks were around 34 and right now, March 27 of year 2016, they are around 123-124! Anyone that slightly follows the stock exchange knows this. The business plan by Easterbrook that she is demonizing actually made them more successful than they ever were; they closed smaller and older locations that were unprofitable to renovate, a very pragmatic strategy. Such misinformation. I don't even like McDonald's; the last time I ate there was 2 years ago because it was the only thing opened during the night and I had to drive a very long distance, it was not very tasty but it is no reason to spread lies. By the way; most people I know that are eating McDonald's on a regular basis are millennials.

Where I live a Big Mac meal is 7. 29 for a medium meal and that is without tax. No Burger McDonalds sells should be over 4. 00 and No Meal should be over 8 Total. McDonalds has become expensive for subpar food. Why would I spend nearly 8 dollars for a burger when I can go somewhere else and get better quality food for a cheaper price? The Franchise I visit charges 1. 49 for ONE Hash Brown. Hash Brown should be. 99 cents at the most. Maybe two for. 99 cents. Prices need to drop but that is unlikely. especially with the no skill workers demanding 15 dollars and hour to bag fries, and mess up orders.

You know what- there are lots of McDonald's employees outside USA are paid much less than half of what American McDonald's workers earn while those underpaid people are working twice the effort. 15 to flip burgers, really? And the said fries' additives- don't even brag about it if you keep chewing those fries. McDonald's USA needs to be crazy in their promotions, reduce their costs and try-and-error to get tastier and juicier burger recipes. I honestly don't think McDonald's is going to fail soon.

its true mcdonalds food has never been the best might be better but mcdonalds is too commonplace and ubiquitous its very hard to ignore it, its just too easily available and accessible and people would just eat whatevers in front of them as long as its acceptable. also dont forget mcdonalds owns like 50 billion dollars worth of real estate. brink of failure is very very unlikely.

I haven't eaten in McDonald's in more years than I can remember. Two things that I do like are the coffee and the fries. If near a MD, will buy the fresh coffee and a small bag of fries to have with my lunch. If MD went under, I wouldn't really care. Rather spend my money on better food. As I said, haven't eaten in MD for years and don't plan to in the future.

I went to McD's and they don't have ketchup for fries any more. They guy at the counters whispered, hold up, I hook you up. He sneaks to the back and a minute latter comes with a styrofoam dish of one pack of ketchup smeared with his finger around the bowl. I told him no, and asked for a pack of nugget sauce. He barked that'll be 17 cents! I'm done with McD's

The calorie narrative is such a lie. Big Mac meal (fries and soda) - 940 calories 39g of fat, 1100mg of sodium. Chipotle burrito (no sour cream, no guac, no soda) 1030 calories 31g of fat, 3100mg of sodium. It's fine to hate McDonald's but don't be a blatant liar. Go find me another fast food place with lower calorie offerings for their standard fair.
