Easier, faster, healthier is the motto of the everyday unitasker, but are some of these promises completely empty? The object in question in this episode of You Should Do This is the EZ Salad Cutting Bowl a slotted bowl totting the promise of healthy and fresh salads in 60 seconds. Shop the EZ Salad Cutting Bowl

Wow, that was real BS. First, you take your sweet, sweet time with the bowl and then you make the rotating process out to be some kind of complex procedure. Not only that, chef cooks don't seem to realise that your average Joe doesn't have the same knife skills. What took you 50 seconds would take others twice or even thrice the time. That bowl is actually a pretty good invention for those that aren't the most apt with the knife. And really? You just throw that bowl in the dishwasher after picking out the chunks of lettuce. It's not like you DON'T clean your knife afterwards, right!

I've been watching a few of these guys videos and I don't like them. most of them don't take into account the audience that the product is for nor does it take into account the fact that a lot of people don't have the exact same skills as him. It took and 57 seconds to cut all those ingredients while for me a mere knife beginner it would've taken at least three minutes it's not meant for someone with extraordinary skills or someone who's been doing this their entire life it's meant for the normal regular standard family Who doesn't have time to stop to learn some knife work.

I dont get peoples obsession with Change of cutting speed when cutting down into the piece of crap gadget you have to hit the holes, if you just go as fast as possible you will cut down into the plastic of the thing, damaging it and more importantly dulling your knife blade faster. When cutting free hand, you can go much quicker, since there is no guides you have to follow, so it just feels more natural.

This is the second review you have done where you haven't really tried doing a one to one exact comparison. You went super slow on the product, and then went much faster with the knife which you seem to have above average skill with. I don't think you represent the typical consumer for the product. But also you can tell your attitude is already bias against the product even before trying.

The unitasker seems useless for the average person. You still need a knife, all it does is making it a bit easier to make very even cuts, but it's not hard to do that with a knife either, it doesn't have to be perfectly even anyway. Flipping the ingredients is easy as well, with your hands, or just turn the cutting board if you have a disability.

My issue wth these one job gadgets is you end up with a kitchen full of plastic lumps you use a few times a year! I'd rather invest in nice knives that will last a lifetime can can be sharpened! One of my favourite things is I get a knife chunky wood board with a pull out draw stops all the waste bits of onion. skin etc invading your

For the average person, knife skills can be developed, pretty easily, to out do kitchen gimics. However, for the elderly or the less able bodied individuals, stuff like this is pretty handy. They just can't market like Hey, are you half paralyzed or old? Missing a hand? Here's a gadget for you!

Hey Eater, your host doesnt realize that rotating the base when flipped over wont change the direction of the cuts. Really dumb. Hope you guys get sued for being dummies. Yes, the knife is better, but if youre going to be a smartass shitbag at least use the object your criticizing correctly.

Even if he cut faster with the tool, still isn't worth the money. You have an extra tool to wash, you still need wash the veggies. Still need the knife and the results is worst than using the knife alone. Also, if you need to make salad for more ppl, the tool is even less effective.
