Honestly If that company that makes the impossible burger for the Momofuko restaurant were to make it for other restaurants around the U. S and even Globally and not have it listed on the menu as vegan THEY CAN fool an insane amount of meat eaters and that will change there minds about meat, i don't know why they haven't that already! They have a million dollar idea that can change meat eaters minds and there just not pushing it, it's very disappointing they haven't because they are the only company that makes a vegan burger patty that way and it can do alot of good and be the best vegan burger patty people can buy! If they were to freeze it and then package it and sell it to grocery storesthat'll be such an amazing thing to do for vegans and meat eaters alike! :)

Such footprint BS. Properly managed cattle will turn a barren wasteland desert into a lush green forest pasture land. The American plains had 10 feet of topsoil because it was grazed by herds of a billion buffalo. Herds were 20 miles deed and 200 miles wide. They'd eat the 12 feet tall grasses down to the dirt. The settlers wrote if you were caught behind a herd your horses would starve because nothing was left but 5 inches of urine soaked poop. The buffalo would only graze that area every few years though. It's the corn, wheat growers that have destroyed the plains topsoil reserves.

I tried this today, it's scary how close it is to meat. As a carnivore, this has always looked cool and I think I'd be more then happy to eat this instead of a meat burger if that is what the world decided. Yes it doesn't have the exact same look and texture as meat and it gets a little to crispy on the outside, to point where you can tell something is off, but it worked. I liked my burger as much as if it were a meat burger. So overall I give it a 9. 2/10, still needs to fix a couple things until it is perfect.

So exactly what is heme? Why not just add real beef blood to plant based textured soy and keep the animal alive? Just send the vampires to collect from each cow occasionally and you'll have a good bloody hamburger without the cow dying. I can see it. On the other hand, I make a tofu, lentil, nut, seed, oat, egg, spices veggie burger that you would swear is meat. It doesn't bleed but I'd put my vegetarian (not vegan) burger up against real meat, any day.

I would love to see cheap beef replaced by a good beef substitute. For one if it is similar in price, healthier, and has a lower resource cost (cow feed, water, transportation, labor cost, etc) it has many benefits. Secondly farmers & fast food will have a lower incentive to produce cheaper/low quality bulk product; thus allowing for more places to really to refine what makes a beef hamburger special again.

Why does a cactus have thorns? Because it doesn't want to get eaten. Plants and animals have feelings because they are both living organisms. There is basicly no differents so i don't understand why there even is a choice to not eat animals. The human race probably wouldn't have survived the ice age if we didn't hunted for mammoths and other animals (for food, clothes, etc.

He's probably not convinced because he's a meat connoisseur, and probably doesn't want to be convinced even if it was like real meat. I haven't tried this, but I want it now. This is revolutionary. How much meat we all eat is HUGELY problematic, and I for one am so excited by this.

Wow, leave it to youtube commenters to lower the rhetorical bar. Really interesting concept, not surprised Nick doesn't like it. I'm all for it too, especially for McApplications. I bet in a year or two they'll have made yet more improvements, yielding an even meatier patty.

Wow, now you're making plants bleed for the enjoyment of our taste palete. That's cruel and unethical to plants. From now on I'm taking a stance against the exploitation of plants by switching to a meat based diet.

I'd be more concerned about my thyroid, for example, assuming that this contains soy. I got hypothyroidsm by eating soy, and if it'd get any worse, I'd be able to eat pretty much nothing without gaining weight.
