Asian Carps and those Kurds in Syria has something in common, once their usefulness is gone, they get dumped, Asian Carps eats weeds and filter clean the water, they are a delicacy in Asian Restaurants, they are kept in clean running waters without feeds for weeks until they shits out clean and the flesh becomes wonderfully sweet, great fertiliser, cat foods etc, automation cut one day.

I wouldn't eat carp even if it tasted good (it doesn't, and I definitely wouldn't feed it to pets. Carp contains thiaminase, an enzyme that blocks your body from absorbing thiamin. Eating (or feeding) it regularly will cause a dangerous vitamin B1 deficiency. Rather than eating them they should sell them to make fertilizer.

One man's garbage is another man's treasure. Check out this video. Even though it's all in Chinese, but please pay particular attention on. It shows a little trick on getting rid of its fishiness by pulling out its nerve string. I call it ancient Chinese secret in cooking Asian carp!

Yeah, load them loose on the boat then have to unload them one by one again. Ridiculous. Put the damn bin in the boat and lift it out with that miracle device known as a forklift or backhoe. Get your ass home 2 hours earlier, better quality fish

The Chinese brought carp into the good water of America. They know that Americans would hate carp and therefore would be willing to let the Chinese harvest the invasive Asian carp. The Chinese are laughing in the sideline.

Give it away for free then no one wanta it. Start selling for 50/lb and say that it's a true delicacy, then you'll see lots of instagram posts from idiots who might actually just have a lot of sheep.

Who would have thought Dogfish, Monkfish or Tilapia would ever be eaten in the US. Tilapia is a deeper bottom feeder then a catfish. UGH! So who know? Thanks Kat, for showing us people making a difference.

Need to start a Black Soldier Fly facility with all that available food. That larvae are great food for fish, chickens, etc. Dont need anchovies from Peru to grind up for animal feed for one example.

These fishes are eaten all over the world. but Americans don't want to work hard for their food. strange. How lazy you people are. That's why you need lots of migrants for your important works

Carp is a substitute for alot of fish. Alot of companies that advertise for fish sandwiches made of cod are actually eating a cod/carp mix. I mean its still fish but not what you paid for.
