Nothing spells out classic Americana like a cheeseburger on a fluffy white bun, but these simple meaty sandwiches are loved the world over. In this episode of The Meat Show host, and noted hamburger enthusiast, Nick Solares stops by Bleecker Burger to investigate one of the most lauded burgers that London has to offer

It's one thing to appreciate a classic, no frills, really well done (technique-wise) cheeseburger, but it's another thing to literally keep comparing every other burger innovation to it in disappointment that it's not a delicious and simple, griddle-fried cheeseburger on a good ol' potato bun. I like this show because of Nick's experience and passion, but I don't like how he constantly compares things to the classic that he loves. That black pudding burger is just that, and it's not trying to be a new classic. Eat it for what it is and enjoy. Mic drop.

I had the Bleecker Black last time I was in London, it is an insanely good burger. Really intensely flavorful. Also people need to at least give rare-med rare burgers a shot. I understand why it's intimidating since everyone goes on and on about (exceedingly rare) foodborne illnesses but it changed everything for me. So good.

Honestly, I think Nick is great. Yes he gets a little silly with some of his word choice, but honestly lately he's been on point, and I think he's still getting crap for stuff he doesn't say anymore. You might like your burgers a little more raw than me, but I think you're doing a great job Nick, keep it up.

So much hate for this dude, but haters keep watching and commenting on his videos. Some of you may want him off Eater but the more you comment and view, Eaters monetization goes up, which means their incentive on axing the guy goes down. ---------

They are not using what you would consider ground beef or hamburger and that's why this burger can be so rare because it's basically ground up steak that's going in there that you would pay your local steakhouse for to have it on the bone

That burger looks quintessentially concussive! Those milliard reactions are profoundly funky with supple but sweet and tangy notes. Even in its primal form this burger is definitely the platonic and prototypical ideal. Great job Nick!

I'm so glad you're in London, I can actually go to some of these places. I've actually been to Bleeker before but only for the regular burger. They are so juicy and meaty tasting compared to most places since they are cooked so rare.

Kinda sad you guys came all the way over to the UK and didn't show us a great UK burger. But then, as a UK reviewer, I have to accept that our burgers are largely trash and are judged with a completely different set of goalposts.

3: 12 Are you holding your breath again while eating? You do realize it's hard to taste anything if you hold your breath? Also, ground beef should be cooked more well or else you'll get food poisoning. It's not a steak.

Nick Solares. you are a stones throw from the greatest steak restaurant in London - the Hawksmoor in Spitalfields. PLEASE tell us you are going there next! Excellent bar in the basement also - amazing burgers.
