She's terrible at interviewing. Interrupting with right Mmm hmm when he was already in direct dialogue. He was in full dialogue and there was no need for her to do that. Once a person discontinues speaking, or slows, get in there and use prompts then. In the meantime let them speak freely and only prompt when you have to, or take the interview back under the topic at hand if they deviate. If I could stand to watch the whole thing I'd be curious how many times she says right. She is disinterested and only going through the motions and I bet buddy could read that. She should not be doing interviews of this depth with her skill level

I certainly do not disagree that the American prison system and private prisons in particular are very important issues of the day. But good lord can't there be someone capable of articulating the issues and facts without filling their speech with so much fluff? All of the, like, you know & but uh & yeah, no, but, um language may indeed be the cool or popular way to speak, but the only message this so-called journalist is getting across is: a)ramen packets are currency in prison, b) private prisons are bad, and c) prison in Iran sucks too.

It's a miracle he came out alive from playing pretend prison guard. Prisoners are always testing guards and if they sense weakness they will bully you into submission. This guy is an overtly flaming queen and he wouldn't last a week as a guard in a place like Rikers or Pelican Bay.

What he didn't mention is that one person on suicide watch basically starved to death around the time he worked there. The full story of his time there is a harrowing insight into the American private prison system. I'd recommend y'all look it up.

If anyones wondering, the restaurant is called Ramen-Ya and is located on 133 W 3rd St in New York, NY. The ramen there is absolutely amazing, definitely worth trying. Had to give them credit cuz no one else would.

I love Shane. Having been imprisoned in a foreign country myself, he literally inspired me to document my experience. His book was amazing though I havent read his current book.

Way to many holes in his story. Also there was no way he was getting that camera in to a jail undercover unless he stuck it up his hole to get through the inspection line.
