Warning: politicalI just thought about something weird and someone help me to understand this: Our world econemy is based on progress and profit. Which in theory is a very good idea. In reality however, I am starting to get the feeling that as a society, this striving for progress benefits very few people. While it's true that most people have got a new phone, drive better cars and all that, the trickle down effect is really marginal in comparison to the amount of money that is directly reinvested practically all the time, money that could for example be spent on more expensive products so that people can actually afford their livelihoods. Now, I am a fan and advocate of progress and the idea of neo capitalism, of investing into science to make the world a better place, of a never ending drive to be more and make more out of this world we live in BUT - I am starting to doubt that most people even know what kind of price we pay for this idea. I mean, is it just that we are too many humans OR is the system we base our economic ideas on, no matter if we are liberal, center or conservative, just a false assumption that our combined effort actually leads to a better world for the people that are currently sacrificing so much? I mean, don't get me wrong, I am not saying I have some sort of plan to fix this or if I am even certain that our concepts are wrong but studying politics, sociology and economics I fear that this is a global systemic error. Who can I read up on to get a better understanding of this flaw? The fact that billions of people can not afford to live a good life is while a logical consequence, something I never see discussed anywhere in a serious manner that actually tries to get to the core. I mean I know that there are movements asking for fair trade and all that but that's just treating symptoms. If someone can not afford to pay for good food (which is just a weird way of saying food that is normal and healthy and an acceptable product) - is the issue really as simple as most economists, activists and similar figures make it out to be? Or maybe, are we advancing too fast - is our whole mentality built on the idea that we will fix it tomorrow?

This is kinda irrelevant, but i realised that when people comment something positive about someone, especially in the comments section, it affects how others judge as well. For example, everyone here is really supporting this lady and are commenting lovely things about her, so it then makes me think the same, but if a whole bunch of people where to say bad things about someone, the majority of the people would also start criticising. This really goes to show that we truly affect the way others think, and it is a really important thing that we all become role models to each other. Always be kind. Also I agree this lady is really educated, much respect.

This video had a wholesome vibe to it. I loved how Carolina explained why it's worth to buy handmade chocolate a lot more in the long run. I was also surprised to hear that dark chocolate isn't supposed to be bitter, felt like I've been lied to my whole life. Not to mention, the process of preparation was mesmerizing to watch. I swear, if I stop being broke finally, I'll buy one pack of each their products!

This is exactly what i always think, when i see videos of huge factories producing cakes in machines. They just wont ever teaste the same, because food tastes better when made with love. And like creating a whole product, you will be proud of in the end. Machines cant do this.

One moment: tasty batter looking chocolate. Gets put in next machine: suddenly the prettiest silk. O. O This whole video is very appealling. Super neat about the husks being used in other products, and the information on sourcing was very cool!

She talked about giving something back to the farmers as they are living a dollar a day type of life and stole my heart. I wish the commercial producers think the same way and the world would be better place. Hats off lady.
