We challenged chefs of three different levels - an amateur, a home cook and a professional chef - to make their versions of french fries. And then we brought in a food scientist to review their work. Which fries were the best?

The actually chef, I want that in a restaurant. But for me and mine, the other two absolute angels are my thing.
Yeah, in a restaurant, I want something I cant or will not be doing at home.
Level 1 chef wins this one, though its neck and neck with the level 2 chef.
Level 3 chef, I will treat myself on a company expense account to your restaurant fries, but generally I just want my fries NOW!
Best fries I ever had, I was in Kuzumaki, Iwate, Japan. Japanese guy, trained in the Philippines, his own special recipe, best fries and meat I ever had, including over 200 dinners. You want the best in the world, go to Kuzumaki, Iwate, Japan.

The cold oil method actually makes amazing fries. I tried it as I really wanted fries at home, but didn't want to bother with the twice fry method. They came out crispy and fluffy, perfect taste and you just put them in the oil and stir just a couple of times. I found that the fries should be just covered, not too much oil. At first, it'll look like a mess, but wait until they've fully cooked and you'll have the crispiest, best fries!

Is it only me or this lvl 2 chef is mote like a level 1. I mean no hate or anything but i kinda feel that Emily who is a lvl 1 chef is a better cook. but i mean this lvl2 doesn't really get to show her talent by making fries

Does anybody else get aggravated when people say stuff like queso to make something sound more hip when speaking in English. Like it's cheese just say cheese. Saying queso with an English accent doesn't make it fancier.

My level one sauce would have consisted of a bowl, some Velveeta cheese, and a splash of milk thrown in the microwave maybe add in a can of Rotel depending on my mood lol

I think Bianca's the most confident amateur chef I've seen. I like it. It's refreshing. Usually the amateurs are, at best, pretty sheepish and apologetic.

Just before the video starts, I've only seen Palak in 1 other video and that was the scrambled eggs one so I'm expecting big things

Man oh man, I cringe when I see bad knife skills. The days as a young cook just practicing different cuts. Just to do it
