All the walnuts inside the batter are burnt after baking. they all are looking blck. you hv baked it fr more than necessary time. batter should have been less in 8 pan

I tried making buttermilk your way and it failed. completely curdled into a lump. then I tried with cold milk and just 2 teaspoons of lemon. turned out just fine.
