G'day Chef John, There's an old saying that the best inventions, solutions and ideas are the simple ones. As we all know, your skill, passion, artistic culinary abilities are second to none, now that Tony's gone. But here, in this video, John, you've had your Einsteinian eureka moment. This heating tip, and that's all it is, oh, but what a tip; has the potential to be a healing breakthrough in this increasingly crazy world where people are shut in and are getting delivered food more than any time in history. You heating trick does not add any more oil and that, in and of itself, could curtail untold millions of potential clogged coronary arteries. If only Mr Nobel had had the foresight to include 'healthy food reheating' as a category, you'd have the big, golden medallion and the 2 million dollars that goes with it! I can assure you I'm not blowing smoke up ya Kyber, as we say far down south. Brilliant! It's 6: 30 AM and I feel compelled to order in some fries and tell them to take their time about it! Cheers, Chef John. BH

I reheat most of my leftovers like: sandwiches, fries, fried chicken, burgers, kebabs etc in my Electric Grill/Sandwich Maker! It s way way better than a frying pan as it heats from both sides at the same time, so no need for the constant flipping and they come out as if they were freshly made I swear to God! Just make sure to get a good quality Electric Grill/Sandwich Maker with a none-stick detachable plates for easy clean up! Or I sometimes wrap whatever I want in aluminum foil before heating them, so no cleanup is required and no mess whatsoever!

This also works great if you cook burgers and fries from frozen. Cook the burgers first, and then the frozen fries in the burger grease. Simple and pretty tasty, although only if proportionally compared to your lazy and/or hung-over levels. My actual go-to method is to just keep an electric fondue pot on standby for the occasional small batch deep fry

I love this technique for pizza. for fries or any other fired food that is not hot and crispy at the time I want to consume it I just use my convection toaster oven on toast for 3-5 min. not the Chefs recommendation but quick easy and for me good results. Happy reheating!

Just spread them on a baking sheet. Place in a preheated oven on high. Leave till you see the oil bubbling on them. Turn oven off and leave them in for 5 - 10 min. Just like new. And also preheats amazingly using a sandwich grill

Great method, but I have been doing mine in the air fryer recently. I heat up leftover pizza the same way. Thanks for the video, it's always great to have multiple ways to bring leftovers back to life.

I said it before after a ketchup included video, but I will say it again. Call me Chef Redundant. Make some homemade ketchup. It is so much better. It is after all tomato season.

Yes but the option to spice them up, cayenne, curry powder, everything but bagel, herbs and a knob of butter. You went too basic this time chef John! Oh the possibilities!

That's exactly how I reheat my fries each and every time, which I did just this morning and had them for breakfast. I even added the deep fried shrimp I had. Excellent.
