My philosophy has always been: if I'm putting broccoli in something it's going to be healthy. So no cheesy broccoli casserole and things like that. I'm going to have to extend that to zucchini too. If I'm making bread I'm not going to be throwing zucchini in. Now if I had a zucchini plant that would be different. Making bread is better than leaving baskets of zucchini on neighbors' doorsteps in the dead of night. Sorry Chef John. I'll save the zucchini for your excellent farmer's frittata.

You not eating it warm slathered in butter has just made me SO SAD! Seriously--how can you not tell people (or not know yourself) how amazing any quick bread is when still hot/warm and with butter on it? sigh (I mean it is good cool with butter too, but the hot bread with butter was my favorite)

Love zucchini bread! My grandmother used to bake loaf after loaf in the late summer when zucchini were taking over the garden and freeze them. We didn't refrigerate our butter and I have very fond memories of slathering a thick layer of soft butter on a slice of this bread and loving it.

My French family always loved my zucchini, banana and apple quick breads. The only recipes for these fabulous quick breads that we find in France are, of course, American. Your video brought back some lovely memories. Stay safe you 2 and see you next time. Bisous de la France

chef John, would you like to adopt me? i eat all food and im not picky but always very appreciative, i'd make a great kid sans the rebellion and difficult parts of having a kid cuz im actually 25 and i just love ur food and i wouldnt mind eating it every day

Every year I ask myself. Why do we have zucchini in the garden. This will help get rid of some of them. I did hear that this cake almost makes you lose weight.

If twice the amount of batter was used in each pan, would the height of the finished product be higher also? Would the cooking time need to be increased?
