These Halloween-themed Blondies feature a perfect blend of sweet and spicy, and were inspired by our recent Gochujang Caramel Cookies recipe. Macadamia nuts provide added richness, and anyone you share these with will agree they are scary good.

Ok these look interesting. I know you’ll be amused when I say they look like a bloody wound. And IF you had decided to swirl some cream cheese in addition to the Go-Chef-John, it would look amazingly like INFECTED wounds. Which may or may not be what you’re looking for. Depends on the time of year, I suppose. However, NOTHING beats chocolate. Ever. So mine will need to look like wounds of a POC! lol

You are, after all, the Dagwood. is a nice reference to the newspaper comic strip Blondie. Brilliant, John!
Now how about a recipe of some baked good utilizing sriracha instead of gochujang or cayenne Cornbread or waffles or a pastry like a Danish

I have never understood why chef John can't stir Just STIR for crying out loud. Not fiddle, poke, or pat: STIR! I am convinced the man actually does not have the hand strength to do so. Very bizarre considering all of his recipes.

So I was thinking chef John mentioned adding chocolate chips to the blondies. What about melting chocolate and adding it to the gochujang, and spreading that on top haven’t tried it- I’m just spitballing here.

One of my Korean friends told me I was pronouncing Gochujang incorrectly. It should be sounded out with a K at the beginning and not a G. Can anyone confirm this

What is this Someone should consider a vacation to recharge and clear the mind. This makes your lazy meatballs’ seem sane and that is saying something.

Suddenly that spicy goo is in lots of recipes online. This recipe is a welcome change from the others which prepare meats and veggies.

Macadamia nuts are 10 bucks a pound here. I think that pecans
would be a good choice for those of us who dislike paying so much.
