Triple Coffee Sweet Rolls

Triple Coffee Sweet Rolls

These triple coffee sweet rolls have coffee in the dough, in the filling, and in the icing, which makes these a must-make for any coffee lover. But, even if you don t drink coffee, these beautifully light, tender rolls would be a great way to start the day. These look great, Chef John! Question: Would adding heavy cream on top before you bake them like so many viral videos suggest with premade canned cinnamon rolls, make them fluffier /more tender? Or not really because the active yeast does all the work for you

The idea reminds me of my Cookies and Cookies and Cookies and Cream and Cream and Cream milkshake. I use Cookies and Cream ice cream, Cookies and Cream milk, and Cookies and Cream coffee to make a coffee milkshake and it's delicious.

Those look sooooo yummy.
I do have to say that in all the many cooking videos I have watched you are the first(I think) person to use the rolling pin with handles. Most everyone uses one with no handles. Seems more difficult to me.

The quad might have been the instant whipped coffee as another topping or even on a scoop on the side. Definitely getting carried away at that point, but, I mean, you're having triple coffee sweet rolls, so who is stopping you?

I really like chef John s delivery, not to mention his scrumptious recipes. I ll be making these tomorrow, and I agree about NO cinnamon. You don t need to improve on strong coffee. Thanks, from the north of England.

I so enjoyed watching this, but Chef John, admonishing at the end that if you don't like coffee, then you shouldn't eat them, was a good message for me. I can't stand coffee, but it's so fun to watch Chef John.

As someone whose made a lot of cinnamon rolls, I recommend leaving out the egg from the dough. It really does nothing but make the buns dry out and get tough quicker, aside from a tiny difference in flavor.

A bit of cardamom might go well in these; cardamom and coffee is a classic combination popular in the middle east, plus you'd be going somewhere in the direction of swedish Kardemummabullar

Chef John please contact us about that pumpkin spice latte. You may be entitled to compensation. Also I love coffee, but not sure if I would like these, so please send me just one. Thanks.

I see that you have the CVS shower caps to use as a reusable covering. The advantage is that they are clear, the disadvantage is that the elastic is flimsy and breaks down with washing.

That sounds SO yummy. Only thing is that it seems (by appearance) that there isn t enough filling (based on the amount seen with a cinnamon roll. I m going to double it. More is better

Streusel topping with ground chocolate covered coffee beans? Or, I guess, ground coffee with some cocoa/chocolate streusel with ground coffee would probably do the same thing.

I found a 4th way if you leave coffee beans in a mason jar of sugar for like a month you can make coffee infused sugar if you use turbinado sugar for a sprinkling on top

I think triple is plenty even as a coffee lover, but I suppose you could make some chocolate-covered coffee beans and garnish each roll with a couple of those!

G day from Australia. These look amazing and could taste the coffee from here! Could you also please give us a tutorial for cinnamon rolls? Happy Christmas Chef John

Chef John, I have enjoyed you for years, but today when you said you were traumatized by a pumpkin spice latte, that's when I knew how great you are! LOL

FoodWishes hey Chef John! Happy holidays and thanks for the lessons. here's a suggestion. sprinkle chocolate covered coffee beans on top for your quad! Bahaha

These look amazing! also, what is the elastic bag you use to cover the bowls to proof the dough? It looks so much better and reusable than plastic wrap.

Rolling out block of puff pastry tip works with dough, too. roll out 4 corners first and it will help greatly to keep straight lines on all sides.
