When your given a tip it goes to no one but that waiter that served you its the customers way of saying thank you and showing there appreciation for the job the waiter did I agree with gorden on that this man is sick them waiters look forward to those tips half the time its what they look forward to and this man just takes it ied be disgusted with him to as gorden I would take all his staff and bring them them to work for his own restaurants because Im sure would be treated way better in gordens care then this guy

Not coming from a hospitality background, I dont quite understand the tipping system in America. In the UK, we have a minimum wage of around 9. 50 per hour which all employees regardless of their industry must be paid as a minimum. I am not paid a minimum wage because I am highly skilled in my career so I wouldnt choose an industry to be in that made you reliant on others generosity rather than the contract you sign with your employer. Albeit, I do tip when I receive good service but I do not tip as a default.

left a kitchen here a few years back. ran into a server I used to work with there and he told me after I left they cut the operation hours and starting taking 15% of all the servers tips. The owner is an absolute joke and pretends to be a chef with no experience at all. Used to serve store bought desserts to parties saying they were his. Only worked there for 3 months because I couldnt stand having my culinary experience tarnished by such a joke of an establishment.

I worked at a tea room ( wry short term) about 5 days a week from open to close. Other than myself, the owners two minority (13 & 15 years old) daughters were the servers. We had to split tips. They would sit on their phones and get in the way of me preparing the food because they wanted to make their own. I would make 80+ (for a 5-table tea room thats a lot) and walk out with 25-30.

Im glad I dont own a smellatellavision because everytime he opens his mouth the bs would not only stink up the entire house it would also burn the eyes like looking at the sun without shades on. No smelly tellie for me lol. For taking the tips take Robert to a back room and have a little chat with him Spilotro style and let Lefty get a few in lol.

This is why im so sick of the world. People who bust their asses should be paid more than those who just sit on their ass. What happened to treating employees right? Without those employees you wouldnt have a business to begin with. Why has this been forgotten? People really need to get a clue and start paying people a liveable wage.

Bruh. You JUST said that you take your employees tips when you say theyre not providing the service to the standard you want. You just said that and then you have the audacity to be affronted when he accurately tells you youre stealing from your own employees? I worked at a dominos for 2 years and had a manager who liked to do the same thing. He told us to put the tips in the register but after a few months of knowing my drawer was never short I quit putting them in the drawer. Dude use to pocket them for himself when hed count it down-not anymore, jerk.

I worked for a guy like this. Would pay you six or eight weeks later and act like he was doing you a huge favor and that you should work twice as hard now. Youd be like. You only paid me for two weeks though And hed be like. Ill get the rest to you in three weeks when I get back from Hawaii
