cooking shrimp and prawns scares me for some reason. im always worried i wont cook them enough or ill cook them too much. plus i dont have a good local place to buy seafood from that wont cost me a fortune so i can only access frozen deveined and deshelled prawns (smallish, not jumbo) from the supermarket and i cant find ang videos for cooking it that way

I dont know why it bothers me so much, but you're not suppose to use metallic kitchentools in a teflon cooking pan. If you stir it like that against the surface of the pan its getting alot of small scratches and scrapes which is gonna make food stick very easily to it, which makes the pan super bad. It basicly destroys the pan.

Just some helpful tips - cooking with toasted sesame oil isn't recommended since you'll lose a lot of its aroma so it's better to just blend it in at the end - if you're going to be blending a hot mixture, remove the cap from the lid and cover with a cloth so steam is able to release otherwise the pressure could cause an explosion

Looks amazing! Sad that we cant get any of these large shrimp here. One thing though, you want to avoid scraping that PTFE pan with metal utensils, or it will start to flake off really soon and ruin that non stick surface.

Sorry to jump in here and shit on your fun, but this is not a good time to be eating jumbo shrimp. The extreme over fishing of this kind of crustacean has been threatening to drive them to extinction for years.
