Not trying to be an ass but where did you get the stuff about platinum and reverse osmosis, any links? I'm aware that certain platinum compounds can be quite cytotoxic but going from that to saying that a chunk of platinum metal purifies water seems quite unfounded. Reverse osmosis is just a filter and if you are filtering already safe to drink water -a environmentally irresponsible one; as it dumps massive amounts of water (and the energy used to clean said water) down the drain. What you are filtering out and letting in entirely dependant on what your specific water supply is like and that can vary greatly from neighbouring town to neighbouring town, let alone country to country. Perhaps your water supply contains certain minerals that is capable of dulling sweetness and your filter excludes it, IDK -but that would not be something that could be generalized.

I ve always loved Japanese food as a vegan I invested into buying organic soybeans in bulk therefore I m exploring all the diff ways to use tofu, currently I do tempeh, and tofu and soy milk but I m looking into chao, mao doufu and natto, also made kimchi today. my go to idea is to put all these in sushi rolls so. I m looking for a quality rice cooker right now. considering the zojirushi induction, as a busy vegan I need quick meals and having sushi always ready to go is awesome. also good to know about RO water, and the pressure cooking lucky for me after sushi rice brown rice is my follow up I don t mind the investment

There are much less expensive ways: next time get the USA version and use your own power convertor to power it. + also Maybe you can figure a way to cook other things on the brown rice setting and get some use of the pressure feature but now I guess you have a pressure cooker for other things, OR maybe fiddle with the amount to cook setting with brown rice and get it to cook sushi rice, anyway just some thoughts off the top of my head. BTW Great remarks ( touche' ) on the MFG not sending you the items or even one of them!

After watching Jiro Dreams of Sushi I cook my rice under a lid with weight put on it. For example a bucket or large pot full of water. This creates the steam effect and cooks a fluffier rice. But it's tricky, you have to experiment with heat settings, so having a rice cooker is great. I wonder if the one you have can be used in manual mode? For example - you put it on steam for the first 5-7 minutes, then on low heat for the rest 8-10 minutes? Too bad if the settings are all automatic.

Really interesting video. The conventional rice cooker doesn't cook for a certain amount of time as stated. Instead, it uses the temperature to know when to turn it off. When there is still a lot of water in the pot, the water will prevent the temperature from rising above 100C, the boiling point of water. When there is no more water at the bottom of the bowl, the temperature will climb above that point, triggering the off or warm mode.

This rice cooker is very very very good>>> arah. in/WS7Q used to think pot is not important, the cook came out of the rice is the same, until the friend said the rice cooker of rice was sweet and soft, began to don't believe, after eating just know is really nice, now I use it every day cooking, cooking porridge, also can steamed cake, too good, my friend has been used for three years, and also like new, very durable

Thank you so much for your videos! They are so informative. I am just starting to learn how to make sushi, and I do okay when I make it on the stovetop. Do I use the same proportions of water to rice (i. e. the same recipe) when using a rice cooker, or shall I use the manufacturer's recommendations? The latter seemed to take so much water - my rice took so long, and was mushy.

Wow! Still using a 1970s hand me down conventional cooker. I love the single button as a busy mom, but appreciate your view into the future! :. Strangely fascinating topic, and your paper situation vs receiving courtesy samples is hilarious! Their loss! Lovely video.

I've been wanting to get a rice cooker for a while and then I saw the notification for this and it's super useful: D I mean I'm still a broke student so I'll still probably get a conventional one for now but at least I have more information than before lol
