What I've never been able to figure out is why the cheap commercial burritos microwave so much better then home made ones. If you microwave any of them it will always be partly lava, no matter where they are made, but I've always seemed to have a harder time with nuking home made burritos. The are all more carbs then my doc says I should be eating but as an old latch key kid I have around a decade of memories of coming home from school and heating up a microwave burrito before starting my chores, then homework, then starting dinner.

I’m 69 yrs old. I grew up in Las Cruces NM from 58-74 I went from baby bottle to Hatch Chile. El. Paso Tx and Juarez Mex Mexican food influences. Yes the Chico’s Tacos were the rave in my high school days. All my Mexican friends brought different kinds of burritos! Mom made ground beef and pinto bean burritos or pinto bean and Hatch Green Chile with cheese burritos! Loved them! I live on the East Coast now occasionally I make my childhood burritos! I still love them! Great video!

I make those all the time like you did. I use The Bolner’s Fiesta Taco Seasoning & those same Tortillas. I take them to work. Microwave for about 1 1/2 minutes. Your Cheese Burrito looked so delicious. Thank You So Much. From Mikes Grill & BBQ in L. A.

Simply Mama, that looked so simple. I will have to try that. You know better to get to HEB when they open, Anjelica. I don't go after 10 a. m, it's just too crowded and in this heat, ppl just act all kinds of crazy.

Hi A! I like your recipe for these burritos. They sure do look very tasty. I'm going to freeze some for myself. The one wrapped in cheese sure does look super yummy. I need to try that. YUMS. Great Video.

I’ll bet if you made simple recipes for meal prep and described them as high in protein (most are already, just gotta provide macros) you’d hit a goldmine.

I make these as well and freeze them. I also add Mexican rice with the filling to lighten the burrito a bit. Looking good. Thank you
