Fry bread:
2 cups flour
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
about a cup of warm water, as needed
mix together to make a dough, let set for 1/2 hour, divide into golf ball sized pieces and form into a dough circle. Fry in 1 to 2 inches of oil about 3 min, until golden, flipping about halfway through. Drain on absorbent paper.
This stew looks and sounds amazing. I am going to have to make it. thank you for sharing.

I really want to try making this with zucchini. I’m not a big winter squash person (much to my own chagrin) but I love zucchini and I love beans and corn so I will definitely put this on the list of things to make.
Side note I love how calming your videos are. And they’re all really accessible with ingredients that most people can afford (hopefully) while still being good for your busy and for your soul. Much love

Avoid jack=o=Lantern pumpkins hey are grown for show and are watery use different varieties, A pie pumpkin is fine it is less watery. I am it sure onions or garlic are native American veggies Corn beans peppers and pumpkin yes, garlic and onions are old world vegetables. Turkey broth would have been more indigenous. Regardless of the ingredients purity it look delicious.

This is so good. I bake my pumpkin whole so I can cut it up easier. I used a pablano pepper because I love them. I didn't use garlic, but I did use cumin and coriander - they are so good together.
Please make a dish with egg noodles. They are inexpensive, store well, and so filling.
Thanks for all you do

Three sisters stew actually uses hominy. Traditional Indigenous white dent corn that has been nixtamalized contains a low glycemic index and higher protein content than non dented corn kernels. I am Kanien'keha: ka and Wendat descent and appreciate your videos. Nia: wen

This reminds me that I once saw a recipe on AllRecipes that called for adding pumpkin puree to chili. My husband is allergic to beans, but I have been on a add more veggies kick lately, so I may go back to sneaking some pumpkin into the (meat) chili I make.

I'll be making this soon, thank you. As I have arthritis I'll probably precook the squash (roast/steam/IP) to make it safer to handle.

I’m an avid gardener and have grown 3 sisters years ago. It’s generally sweet corn, pole beans and zucchini. This looks delicious.
