Today I am cooking at home and making Vietnamese spring rolls with chicken. I will also include the recipe for an easy peanut sauce. You can use shrimp or pork but today I am marinating chicken breast and cooking on my stovetop. The fresh ingredients are versatile and can be what you prefer. Ingredients 1 lb ( 454g ) chicken breast (boneless skinless) 1 1/2 Tbsp cooking oil 2 Tbsp (15 ml) low sodium soy sauce 2 Tbsp (15 ml) Shaoxing cooking wine 1/2 tsp Five-spice powder 1/2 tsp onion powder 1 Tbsp minced garlic 12 oz pack rice paper wrappers warm water to soften the rice paper wrappers 4 oz (118 g) rice vermicelli noodles (I used 2 small bundles) basil leaves mint leaves lettuce carrots cucumbers pickled daikon radish (optional) chives OTHER FRESH Ingredients cilantro bean sprouts shrimp pork Peanut sauce 1 Tbsp cooking oil 1 Tbsp minced garlic 1 1/2 Tbsp sambal chili paste 1/2 cup hoisin sauce (140 g) 3 Tbsp peanut butter (50 g) 1 to 2 tsp sugar 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup hot water

YUM! I love these! Never made them with chicken though. I m so glad you pointed out to not leave the rice papers in the water too long; I learned that the hard way. Gonna have to pick up a few ingredients the next time I go to the store. I usually make these in the summertime, but for some reason I haven t made them yet this summer. Thank you for the reminder

I make these but i make them different with Imitation crab sticks and shrimp. I put lettuce, cucumber, green onions, culantro, cilantro, avocado, rice noodles, celery, . I make my sauce with peanut butter, red hot chilies, peanut oil, garlic, hoisin, sriracha, water to loosen

Your backsplash by the stove is so pretty We are in our 1st house and it is a fixer upper. I am leaning toward mostly grey for our kitchen since our appliances are black and all of my tools and dishes are so colorful

You all the comments. What if I said you can find these already made in your grocer's freezer?
You cant, can you? Haha
You'll never find frozen rice paper ones!

Years ago a former coworker would bring in the spring rolls that his Vietnamese mom would make. RIP. They were absolutely delicious and were a huge hit.
