Today I am cooking at home and making tender juicy turkey using the oven bag method. I always end up with a juicy turkey using this method. Ingredients 15 lb turkey (completely thawed) I used a Butterball turkey 1 large oven bag Seasoning Rub 2 tsp salt 1 Tbsp seasoned salt 1 Tbsp salt-free lemon pepper 1 Tbsp garlic powder 1 Tbsp onion powder 1 Tbsp dried thyme 1 Tbsp dried rosemary 1 Tbsp rubbed sage 2 tsp paprika Micayla: I know this is probably a delicious turkey, bc you're an excellent cook and I love your recipes. But bc of the pandemic we're going to have a 2 person thanksgiving rather risk the lives of vulnerable family members by gathering all together.

That's so cooooool how you show people how really simple it is to roast a turkey! Hats Off to the beginners! Use your own seasonings it's so easy! Try this one, too! Rub turkey with a little olive oil. Generously season turkey with Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Salt and Pepper. Slather turkey with some butter. Then, open a can of crushed pineapple and pour it over the turkey. Put pineapple bits on the bottom, cover with foil, and bake. The last 30 minutes of baking time take the cover off and brown up on top. Simply delicious, and makes gravy yum.

This looks easy and I'm sure it is delicious, my Sister always cooks hers in a paper bag but t I have used Alton Browns recipie for over 15 years, it comes out perfect every time, he puts a mixture of sliced apples, cinnamon, onions and fresh herbs inside the Turkey look up his recipe, it really is delicious.

This is basically how I cook my turkey every year except I like to add apples to the celery and onions. I also put some inside the turkey caveat to add more moisture and flavor to the breast meat. This is an excellent recipe and makes it so easy to clean up later. Thank you for post a simple, delicious recipe!

I used to use baking bags all the time for things like pork chops, chicken pieces, etc. Worked great. I don t remember ever baking a turkey in one. May have to do that for Thanksgiving. I have 10 pound turkey in the freezer right now.

So many women have told me that using the turkey bag really keeps it moist, tender and juicy. I have never tried it before. After watching your video I want to try it now. Do you also flip your turkey over as well or nah?

This is the only way our family from my grandmother on down, cooked both the turkey and ham. So tasty and juicy, the best part there s nothing scrub afterwards when you re ready to collapse from exhaustion

That looks really good I ve always wanted to try and oven bag for my turkey but I ve never seen anybody do it with the stuffing inside the turkey. Do you have any idea if it works with the stuffing in it?
