Today I am cooking at home and making tender beef and rice noodle stir fry. The ingredients are similar to beef chow fun but this dish is prepared differently. Ingredients 1 lb ( 454g ) beef flank meat 1/2 tsp onion powder 1/4 tsp white pepper 1/2 tsp baking soda 1 Tbsp (7. 5 g) corn starch 1 Tbsp (15 ml) light soy sauce 1 Tbsp (15 ml) Shaoxing cooking wine 12 to 14 oz (340 to 396 g) wide flat rice noodles 1/4 to 1/3 cup (60 to 79 ml) cooking oil 2 to 3 scallions 1 1/2 tsp minced ginger 2 to 3 cloves garlic 3 oz bean sprouts 1/2 small onion (sliced) Stir fry sauce 1/2 cup (118 ml) beef broth 2 Tbsp (30 ml) dark soy sauce 1 Tbsp (15 ml) Shaoxing cooking wine 1 1/2 tsp sugar 2 Tbsp (15 g) corn starch

I am lazy and use these noodles with just soy sauce and beef stock. Lots of garlic/mushrooms/canned baby corn/bamboo shoots/snow peas. It is soooo delicious and fast to make: ) I have also added some curry paste to this and amazing. Edit to say that this is very adaptable recipe to make.

I can testify from experience that putting baking soda into beef in massage it in then marinating it will make the beef super super tender after you cook it

If you can't find or don't have her special cooking wine I'm pretty sure you can use rice wine or what's that stuff called. I'm thinking. Sorry
