Growing up, I didn t know that Mom s homemade cornbread and pinto beans was a budget stretcher. All I knew was it was delicious and is still one of my favorite meals. On grocery shopping day, she d bring a pkg of weiners and a loaf of bread to the park and we 4 girls would get to play and eat (and feed the ducks) before we had to go shopping. It was a special treat for us and a tradition I carried on with my kids.

I've learned that many people, for whatever reason, work their dough to death. Seriously. When that happens, that makes the dough VERY 'tough. ' They've basically turned it to just gluten.

I have literally been making these all week for breakfast till today cause it was payday. I was using some Mayocoba beans that I had made for refrying, then some canned when we ran out of fresh. I threw a fried egg on the tacos for a few days too. It always slaps.

Bean, cheese and bacon tacos are one of my all time favorite foods. I grew up on having beans and rice or beans and cornbread and I still love them. I just love your videos so much and you have taught me so many great recipes. I hope you know how loved you are.

I had to get out of bed and warm a flour tortilla with butter I m doing this asap. Ohhh also do you have a video on making a fideo skillet meal? My grandma used a small amount of ground beef, browned the fideo, added corn or peas whatever she had.

I make those same bean and cheese tacos/burritos ALL time, they are so so delicious! I have yet to try making homemade tortillas though maybe I ll give it a shot soon! I ll try your salsa recipe tomorrow, thanks!
