Today I am making tacos de canasta for dinner. I am going to use a convenient technique, that my grandmother would use, when making these Ingredients 12 oz Mexican chorizo 3/4 cup cooking oil 1 lb potatoes 20 to 24 corn tortillas 1 small onion thinly shredded cabbage green salsa pickled carrots Paco: So I have a request, would you make your own take on a Taco Lite from Taco Casa? I'd absolutely love to see your version!

I have a serious question. I'm from South Central Texas. Papas is the name we use for everything potato. French fries, Ruffles chips, bits of potato in tacos, etc. Is papas a real Spanish word or a TexMex word simply meaning 'there is some potato in here somewhere? '

Oh my God thank you for showing me how chorizo look, it's my favorite meat I'm hitting up a Mexican grocery store and I'm going to see if I can make chorizo spaghetti
Edit: I did not know chorizo comes in ground meat

simplymamacooks question on the other fillings like the chicharron ones. Do you still heat up the tortilla with red colored oil?

The day to day cooking has to be quick and easy. One could have 2 or 3 things going on and get this done at the same time.
